Mentorship

It had been a week since the program had begun everyone was asleep in their rooms as Kristen had been released from the infirmary with no injuries. One the roof of the building Lily sighed as she knew soon her students would leave her. "Don't worry your students will eventually come back," Trunks said sitting beside Lily. "I know it's just they are my first students," she said looking up at the sky. "We have great mentors picked out for them all,and after a month you will see them again," he said shrugging as she shook her head. "I wasn't aware the mentors were already picked," Lily said looking over at Trunks who rubbed the back of his neck. "Lotus will be learning under the training of Gohan. Kitaki will be taught by Sasuke Uchiha. Lastly Kristen will be taught by Rukia Kuchiki," he said as Lily nodded. "I remember you all put me through so many mentors," she said chuckling. "You are one of the only students who has learned something from all the universes we patrol," Trunks said standing up. "Get some sleep Lily," he said before flying off as she sighed looking down at the ground.

Eventually the sun rose causing her students to wake up,and begin to pack their bags. Lily waited in the area which they had battled the saibamen. Kristen yawned as she drug her bag out of her room seeing Kitaki and Lotus waiting for her. "Come on you're slowing us down," Lotus said rolling his eyes. "Whatever I'm still moving," she said eventually walking over to them as they stepped into the portal taking them to the field. "Goodmorning. I'm sure you all are ready to go,but first you are going to join me in a game," Lily said smirking as she held up the two bells from the first day. Lotus and Kitaki smirked as Kristen nodded sitting down on her bag. "You all might want to kick it into gear we have guest watching," Lily said nodding up to a rock. On the rocks stood the people that would be mentoring the students. Kristen jumped up seeing her future mentor and someone she idolized. Lily chuckled a bit as she attached the bells to her belt. "Now let's do this," she said as the three students took their battle stance. Lotus nodded at the other two as they had been working on a plan for this. "Shadow clone jutsu!" Kitaki yelled out as his shadow clone appeared next to him. Lotus smirking charged towards Lily who easily dodged him as Kristen begin slicing away at her. Lily dodged the blades with ease eventually kicking the blade out of Kristen's hand. Ducking down she avoided Lotus punch elbowing him in the gut before tripping Kristen as Kitaki was no where to be seen. Smirking Lily jumped in the air "Hado 31 Shakkaho!" she yelled out launching the blast at the ground exploding on impact. The noise of the shadow clone disappearing could be heard as he was under the ground. Landing on the ground Lily tossed a paper bomb near the hole entrance the clone dug. The bomb exploded as Kitaki popped out from the ground which she quickly delivered a palm strike to his chest. Lily smiled as it was clear they had improve in many areas of combat. "Now!" Lotus yelled as a pair of arms popped out from underneath the ground as Kitaki's body turned into a rock. Chuckling a bit she knew she had been fooled by a substitution jutsu which was a new trick for Kitaki. "Not bad but not good enough," she said smirking as she flew into the air pulling him out of the ground. "Not so fast!" Lotus exclaimed from behind Lily as he went to grab the bells. Quickly Lily lifted her legs up swinging herself around using Kitaki as a weapon to knock Lotus away. Chuckling a bit she watched as they flew to the ground before she teleported down catching them. "You kids wear me out," she said chuckling as suddenly the bells ringed. Reaching for them they were gone as she turned seeing Kristen holding them. "Gotcha," she said smirking as Lily was genuinely surprised they had snatched them away. Lotus and Kitaki both got up laughing a bit as they ran over to Kristen celebrating. "Impressive work from all of you," she said as the future mentors of the students landed down behind her. "Explain how you all did it," Rukia said as Kristen chuckled stepping forward. "Simple we agreed since Lotus and Kitaki are the strongest they should take us he hits distracting Lily. Whenever Kitaki grabbed her from underground I simply used flash step to retrieve them before she noticed," Kristen said smirking as Rukia clapped. "Impressive work. You all have done well,and now I hand your training over for the time being," Lily said nodding to her students. "Your students are rather impressive. However I must say they could be so much more," Sasuke said. "Don't worry we can make sure they are top patrollers," Gohan said smiling. "Alright students I have to take care of some business. I will see you in a month or two," Lily said waving before teleporting away. The students walked over to their mentors formally introducing themselves. "Hey Lotus, when I get back I'm going to be the team leader," Kitaki said smirking. "Don't get cocky now when I return I'll have unlocked the power of a super saiyan," Lotus said as Kristen looked down at the ground. "What's wrong?" Rukia asked looking at her new student. "It's nothing I'm sure it'll be fine," Kristen said giving a reassuring smile. The students all left with their mentors back to their respective worlds for training. Lily sighed watching them leave as she felt a hand on her shoulder. "You know when you left for my training people worried about you like you worry about them," Kisuke said smiling as Lily nodded. "I know Mr. Urahara,but I didn't expect it," Lily said as Kristen and Rukia left meaning all her students were gone.
