"Mmmooooooommmyyyyy" Avery whines, and it makes me laugh, "What my love?" I ask her. "When do me and Micheal (hehe) come into the story?" She asks. "Oh sweetheart, you and your brother don't come into the story for quite some time." I tell her.
"Well how long?" She asks me. "Well, at this point in the story, me and your dad just met, we have to get to know each other better, start dating, then after a while, get married, and then have kids." I tell her and she nods. "What happens next mommy?" She asks and It makes me smile more.
Flash back
The bell rang through the cafeteria, indicating that lunch was over. "Hey let's go" Ranboo says grabbing his backpack off the floor and I do the same. "Bye we are headed to class." Ranboo informs the rest of the group. "ok, it was nice to meet you Callie." Ethan says. "Same here" I tell them. "Hope to see you again." Chris says and I wave to them as me and Ranboo walk off.
"I hope they weren't too overwhelming" Ranboo says and I laugh a little. "No, they were fun. Asked a few more personal questions but I didn't really mind. They seem really cool." I reply to him. "Oh good. How about Audrey, was she nice, did she do anything or say anything to you?" he asks almost as he knew about the conversation we had.
"Um ya, she was nice why?" I lie, "Oh it's just that she has a hard time making friends with girls, and she was a little skeptical of you at first." He says and we reach our class. "This teacher is pretty chill, as long as you do your homework and study for your tests, you'll ace her class." He tells me and we walk in the room.
As soon as I look around at all of the classroom decorations, my mood immediately drops. Math, my worst subject. I did horribly in math. I once got a thirty percent on a test, and I even studies for it and all. The only reason I never failed a math class, and I got D's almost every term, was because Paige is a literal genius when it comes to math.
(A/N- This is not supposed to be bragging, it is just one of the things that I am actually really good at. Numbers just work in my brain)
"You good?" Ranboo asks quietly, picking up on my change in mood. "ya I'm fine." I tell him. "Well, you can just sit by me." He starts, "Like I said she's chill, she doesn't have a seating chart." He says and he walks towards the back-left corner of the room. He takes the very corner seat and I sit right next to him.
Time skip
The bell rings and I let out a large breath I didn't even know I was holding. If it wasn't bad enough that I just suck at math, my school was behind them. I sat there the whole hour and a half class, pretending I knew what the heck was going on. I didn't.
"Hey, lets go." Ranboo says standing up from his desk. I quickly pack all of my things and we leave the classroom. "So, what did you think of your first day of school?" He asks and I smile. "It was good mainly. I absolutely hate math, and I can't do it for the life of me, but other than that, today was actually pretty great."
"That's great!" he says, "And if you ever need help with math you can just ask me for help. I'm not too great at it, but I understand what is going on and I know how to do everything." "thank you. I will definitely be taking you up on that offer. I need serious help." I say with a little laugh.
We make our way out of the building, and into the parking lot. "Oh, where did you park?" He asks me. "Over there" I say pointing towards where I parked. "I parked there too." He says and we walk towards our cars, getting to know each other a little better.
Ranboo's POV
"I would really like to thank you for today. Without you I would have been totally lost and alone." She says and I smile. She has no idea how much I would like to thank her too. "Oh no problem, it was fun and I'm glad I had the chance to meet you. And I hope to get to know you better next time." I reply to her.
If I'm being at all honest with myself, I didn't want there to be a next time. I just didn't want to stop talking with her. There was something about her that just dug into me. It was like I was meant to meet her. I don't really believe in fate, but I don't think there is a better word to describe it.
"I hope so too. But next time we should just tell each other our deepest darkest secrets, because I hate this awkward state where we are tying to get to know each other." She says and I laugh. "Deepest darkest?" I ask her.
"Oh, I know you have some dark secrets and I need to know all of them pretty boy. As long as you are ok talking about them. I don't want to make you uncomfortable." She says. Goodness gracious, my body does something weird when she calls me that.
"We'll see about that." I say and she stops in front of a car that I assumed to be hers. "This you?" I ask her and she nods. "Where did you park?" She asks. "Oh, over there." I tell her pointing to the opposite side of the parking lot.
"Wait I thought you said you parked over here." She says and I can hear the little bit of confusion in her voice. "Um, I lied. I wanted to talk to you a little more." I tell her and she takes her keys out of her pocket.
"Oh my god that is literally so sweet, do you want me to drive you over there?" She asks me. "No, it's fine, I can walk. Plus, it won't take too long because of these" I say referring to my legs, her laughing at my stupid joke. I'm glad I can make her laugh.
"Ok, probably for the best anyways." She says and it confuses me. "What do you mean?" I ask her. "Well I wouldn't want to come in between you and Audrey." She says and I start to laugh. "What's so funny?" "It's just, me and Audrey aren't even dating. She wants to date, and our parents have been planning our wedding since we were in diapers, I just don't feel that way towards her." I explain.
"Well you should tell her that soon. I don't think she's picking up the hints that you're putting down for her." She tells me. "No? I thought I made it obvious." I tell her. "Well I better get going, I've got a few things I need to do." She says playing with her keys.
"Oh ok, see you tomorrow?" I ask. "Ya, or you could text or call me. I would be fine with that too." She says and I smile. "Ok will do." I say and she heads towards the driver's seat. "Bye Ranboo." She says, waving at me before getting into the car.
After a few seconds the car starts to reverse out of its parking space, and then drive away. I let out a large breath that I didn't even know I was holding. Why does she make me so nervous? I know I already am a little nervous just talking with people in general, but she makes me feel a lot safer, but also a lot more nervous to talk.
'It's probably nothing. Maybe I'm just hungry.' I think to myself, as I start the walk across the parking lot to my own car.
