I got up to my favorite song, Beast, by Nico Vega. "Yeeeaahh, finally Pandora, you got one right." I say while bobbing my head to the beat.
I got up and out of bed and started doing my morning routine. First pushups, then sit ups, reverse crunches, reverse pushups, stars, then last but not least baileys. Next I go downstairs to the basement, I make sure no one can see or hear me and I start moving the water I brought down with me.
You see 75 years ago, bending was outlawed and anyone caught doing so was executed on site. My family was smart though, they started hiding when laws limiting benders started coming. But when I started to bend all four elements, things became a bit complicated.
My parents started looking for masters to teach me. They soon introduced me to a man names Hildalgo. He taught me how to control the element of fire. He also taught me that bending is more than just a skill to be mastered, it is something to be cherished and protected, to not be abused or boasted about.
When I first started to learn earthbending I met a woman named Jane. Jane gave me more wisdom than I could ever imagine. She told me that the knowledge of all 4 elements is what makes me powerful, but, on the other hand, it can make any normal person powerful.
It's just knowing your enemy's strength and making it their weakness in a sense, though she slapped me every time I said that. She would say then, power is how you use a tactic to your advantage rather than how you intend to use it.
When my family first took me under their wing with water, my father was the one who put in the effort. He taught me everything I wanted to learn and much more. He showed me the restrictions at a young age and showed me how I can push it a little bit further to have an advantage.
He showed me how to stay hidden, but how you can use your bending in plain sight. He also taught me how to heal, he told me that I needed to know this due to the hospitals checking your DNA for any bending attributes.
He gave me the wisdom to lie about myself, not just for me, but for those around me, and to keep the world in balance.
When I finally mastered fire, the victory was short lived. We all knew that finding an airbending master was going to be difficult, the were the first to be killed. There were still air acolytes around but instead of helping, they took my mom, dad, and sister to the authorities and had them executed.
It was just me and my brother that were left, I eventually found a man, hiding in plain sight, who indeed was a master. But I had started to not want to master all the elements, believing it was pointless and only brought heartache.
But when he saw my face he guided me into a beautiful place through meditation. There were these creatures that were so kind and they all called me Avatar Camille.
"Camille," he called, "I would like you to meet someone."
I turned towards my master and was greeted by a woman with an arrow on her hands and forehead. A true, master. I thought.
"Camille," he spoke, "this is my mother, Jinora."
"How lovely it is to see you again, Korra." She said with a very kind smile on her face.
"Wait," my smile faded, "if you knew Avatar Korra, and your his mom, then how come I'm a water bender first? I mean there is a cycle to this isn't there?"
They both looked at each other and the cheerfulness I saw was replaced with gloom. "When the executions started happening, they made the air nation and the avatar first priority. Korra and her freinds fought and hid for a long time. Until one day she was drug outside of her home leaving her wife and children all to early.
