Chapter 4: The invite

Handong P.O.V.

It was a very quiet morning, it has been awhile since I had seen one like this. So I decided to come to the garden and read a book while Dami set everything up for the practice. She looked tired and out of social batteries. "Do you need my help?" I asked while putting my book down. Dami shook her head "it's your free time, you should enjoy it". I rolled my eyes and began helping her. "I am enjoying it. I'm with a friend that's more than enough to make it enjoyable" Dami rolled her eyes but couldn't hide a slight smile.

"Hello, hello ladies!" We both turned to look at the happy greeting that Tae gave us while running towards us. y/n was walking behind him and just waved with an absent smile. "Well atleast one of us isn't tired" I said, looking at the happy and energetic Taehyung. "I had fun at the feast, ate really well, slept fantastic and I'm ready for training" he answered proudly. "Well that makes one of us cause i didn't" y/n said. "You and the prince disappeared in the middle of it, were you okay?" I asked concerned. she rolled her eyes and answered "he is such a hypocrite, he is still upset about something that happened super long ago and was an accident. Lunaria didn't hear of anything until it was too late!"

 I immediately knew she was talking about the lost lands. The disaster happened about 500 years ago but it's still a big thing, everyone lost so much. The land that was hit with the disaster is what we now call the lost lands. nothing grows there anymore, except for mutated things you can't call plants, they say it's hunted by the souls of the people who died there.

A silence had come over us, but that silence was broken by a sneeze. We all turned to look at dami that sneezed in the cutest way ever, i couldn't help but smile. "What? it's just a sneeze, stop smiling so creepily! it's just simple allergies or something" we all giggled a bit at her angry reaction. As y/n and Tae started doing their warm up, I couldn't help but notice a cat walking into the palace. That's strange, I don't know anyone who has cats.

Jimin P.O.V.

I was staring out of the window, being very bored because there is absolutely nothing to do here. Namjoon was not paying any attention to me, he was just working on some new tech thingie.Why am I even here? "Namjoon... Namjoon, joonie! Namnam!" Even though he had his back towards me I could feel him rolling his eyes. "Namnam? that a new one... don't call me that again" he answered in a stern tone. I flopped onto his bed dramatically and said "please pay attention to me, I'm so bored!" Once again he just ignored me. I rolled my eyes and walked up to his little desk to see what he was doing. "What are you working on?" Namjoon just sighed and continued to ignore me. 

"Ugh, why don't you tell me anything. I don't even know what the plan is" at this point i was pissed, why bring me along and then not tell me anything. "The 'plan' is to lay low for now, you're terrible with secrets and lying. So just... idk... just go!" Namjoon was very angry but so was i. "Well I'm not the one making fights with the princess that can get us in trouble with the entire kingdom! She's clearly well loved, to win the trust of the kingdom you should win hers first" Namjoon looked at me angry but i knew he was just hiding his surprise. He doesnt think I have brain cells, but big news brother dearest I do.

I stormed out of the room leaving him speechless. I had better things to do, cause i actually noticed our room looks out on the place the princess was doing a workout. He thinks he's so smart, but he just doesn't know anything about people. but i'll show him how this really works.

y/n P.O.V.

I was breathing heavily, as I got ready to hit Tae in the face with a light ball. "Are you giving up? I don't wanna hurt you y/n". I ignored him, I really needed this today. Just a simple win, something that goes right. Things are slowly going south around here. I can feel it. Taehyung came at me with a fireball but I dodged it just in the nick of time, and hit him in the stomach with my light ball. He flew a little in the air from the punch and landed just outside the mat "Omg Tae are you still alive!" I yelled as I did a quick sprint to go help him up. "I regret to inform you that I shall be passing away now" grunted Tae while grabbing his head. "great hit y/n!" cheered Handong. "Yeah you are making progress, you're learning to trust the magic" Dami said while walking over to me and Tae. "So no one's gonna care about me being in pain... Okay I get it i'm the disposable caracter" he took my hand and flashed me a smile "you did do great! I'm definitely gonna feel this one for a while". I didn't feel like I did good, I was just angry. It just happened.

"Are we holding wrestling matches or something?" I jumped a little as the kinda familiar voice brought me out of my thoughts. We all turned to look and both Dami and Taehyung tensed up a bit. "Prince Jimin, we were combat practicing. But what brings you here?" I asked as politely as I could. I'm sure he must have heard something from his brother about last night and I'm not up for a repeat of that. He ruffled his hair and answered with a smile "pure boredom accualy, but also that I saw you guys from my window. I thought I could join you and get to know you guys". One thing I noticed that was so different from his brother was that he exualy adresses the people around me and me as equals.

"Boy this is not a practice for you, magic users only" Dami said, crossing her arms. He laughed at her "what, are you afraid i might beat you or something". Dami took a deep breath to calm herself and answered with a smile "I am sure you won't beat me, I wrestled professionally before the king hired me". This was gonna get out of hand, Dami will wreck that poor Jimin. "Don't take this the wrong way but you look way too skinny to wrestle" Jimin said seriously. "I will not take it the wrong way, we are settling this right now" she walked to the mat throwing her jacket at Handong "fight me pretty pince". He smirked as he did the same "I know I'm pretty thank you". I facepalmed myself and shot a look at Handong. She also had the same look of sorry on her face.

All of a sudden the sounds of trumpets filled the garden making everyone look around. This usually only happens as something important is announced or someone important. A nervous servant boy not wearing the Lunaria uniform stood in front of the group and cleared his throat "Princess y/n, i have a message from the princes of Lacuna" i signed he should continue as he opened a letter and started reading.

"Hi y/n, i would have told you this in person but at the moment i'm quite busy. You are probably wondering why, but it's finally happening. I'm being crowned as queen! And not to forget I'm getting married, it's a joint event. This might not be the official invite to the event but it is an official invite to an engagement high tea tomorrow. It's just a small event with the other royals in the area. I hope you can come, sincerely your friend, Jihyo". 

The servant boy bowed and I let him go back. This is big news for her, married and queen? That's great. "Did you hear that y/n? This is amazing news!" Handong said excitedly. Somehow i couldn't bring myself to be as excited as handong, so i just simply smiled. "Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing Jihyo again".
