Namjoon P.O.V.
Was the story about looking for the princess fake? yes, yes very much. Did I get away with it and now have to improvise a conversation with the princess? Again also yes. I tried keeping a poker face while the two brought me to her room, I couldn't show them that I had lied. Just breath, just breath, talk about peace that's good... right? Why am I so nervous about this? I have been in worse situations. I literally talked my way out of accidentally setting fire to the stables when I was 14. This should be easy!
"This is her room" the wizard guy said as he stopped in front of a pretty door. The thing I noticed about the castle is that all the gold and silver details on doors and walls told you a story, or what was behind the door with little subtle hints. They almost weren't noticeable. "Thank you for your service, you can go now" I answered sternly, still looking for the detail on the door to confirm it was her room. I felt the wizard guy and rude girl exchange a look before leaving. i'm pretty sure they are close to the royal family, how else would they have the balls to speak like they did. As I knock I see the detail of a crown, I'm quite enjoying their architecture to be honest. There was no answer. I knew very well it would be rude just to walk in but i felt very drawn to just open the door. "Here goes nothing"I whispered to myself as I stepped in without permission.
The interior was alot like the rest of the palace but made a lot more cosy. A little seating area with lots of comfortable looking pillows, a bed that looked like it would be made out of clouds and a subtle smell of lavender and roses in the air. "Princess y/n?" it didn't look like she had been here for a while. On her dresser hung an outfit that was like the dress she wore but more modern and... more of a suit thing. fashion is something i will never understand, but i'm pretty sure she still needs to get ready. My eyes were gliding past her stuff and stopped at the bookcase. The best way to get to know someone is to know what kind of books they like. Adventure novels, poetry, history, all kinds of things she seems to be into. I also noticed two small portraits on her nightstand. One was of the royal family but the strange thing about it was that there were four people, "a brother?" I asked myself.

I was lost in thoughts while making my way to my bedroom. So many things were running through my mind, but I just couldn't focus on anything. All I really know is that I feel nervous. It's not just that we have visitors, but just every little thing, I feel like I'm going nowhere. Just a princess smiling and waving to the people. Ugh I just should stop thinking. The only thing I should have on my mind right now is getting ready, was the last thing I said to myself before opening the bedroom door.
As soon as I looked in, my eyes widened from schok and I closed the door as fast as I could. What the hell?! Why is the prince in my room!! im imagining this, it can't be real i'm just stressed. I slightly opened the door again and nope i was not imagining things. There he was just staring at me peeking through the door! So of course I closed the door out of pure panic. "Princess?" His voice was deep and sounded genuinely concerned. I took a deep breath and straightened myself before walking in. "prince..." aaaand that's the moment my brain started to black out, i forgot his freaking name! "i-i don't think... no! i-i know you're not supposed to be here" if he has any plans to harm me please do it now! Kill me this is embarrassing.
I barely made it through one simple sentence. He laughed a little, "what an interesting greeting. But please, call me Namjoon instead of prince". Pretty sure he noticed I forgot his name. What a great way of starting a conversation. I felt my cheeks warm up a little out of sheer embarrassment. It was a bit of an awkward silence until I noticed he was in my room, alone and holding one of my picture frames.
"Put that down please! Why are you even in my room?!" This time he was struggling to find an answer and just tried setting the frame away which he managed to do horribly. "Wel uhm, i-i came to look for you. I felt we h-had not yet had a proper conversation" I crossed my arms waiting for him to finish "the feast felt maybe a bit t-to not intimate? Y-you know to talk... about peace". He was caught off guard and looked so confused even at his own words. quite cute if i'm being honest. "So your plan was to try and find my room, that is off limits unless i invite you and then talk to me about peace" i said walking up to him with an angry look. he fixed his jacket and stood up straight "yes, yes it was. Well I wasn't really looking for the room I was brought here. by wizard guy and angry girl". Honestly the way he very seriously said wizard guy and angry girl almost made me crack a smile.
