                                    CHAPTER ONE☀️
Jimmy's POV
The droplet hang in the glass ,it slowly drops into the the liquid and makes it way into her veins my eyes not leaving the spectacle which has captured all my attention

'What's so fascinating about what you're staring at'.....She said

'Ohh you're awake'....I said flashing her a smile totally ignoring what she said

'I am dude,you didn't realize cause you were busy staring at the IV for God knows how long'
She said in a duhh tone

Alright I came here to give you this...I brought out the 'Get well soon' card which took me about five hours to craft using glitters and everything beautiful you can think of...(so proud of myself 😌)

She collected it and smiled which turned into a full blown laughter
What is this? She asked amidst laughing
What is what?I asked chuckling

Anyways here is your present,I handed her the gift which I had carefully wrapped with a white and green stripped wrapper ,I placed a blue ribbon on the top to give it a top notch look

Wow,this is so nice, I didn't know you were a pro at packaging.she said while trying to unwrap the the gift.

What the.....?where did you get it ?she squealed with delight
At the book fair
I went with Yoda,it was the last one though

Thank you so much,I owe you one KFC she said flipping through the pages

No need for that ,I brought the KFC out and brought it to her nose to tease her
She  quickly grabbed it from me and shoved some of the potatoes Chips into her mouth,munching on it like her life depended,she swallowed it and looked up at me
Why are you staring,she asked wiping her mouth with the tissue

Who told you the food is yours? I asked
The last time I checked there were only two food packages and we're only two so..she said biting a big portion of her chicken smiling

Never mind,I will get you I said turning to my meal

After eating I disposed everything in the trash can outside the ward and came back in

What will you  like to watch..I asked clicking the Netflix icon  on my laptop
Ermm 'Tall girl'
Alright,I replied typing in the movie name in the search box
I want to use the washroom,she said pressing the blue button on the wall

A nurse in a white and blue polka dots nurse overall came in with a smile plastered on her face

Please can you remove this? I want to use the washroom .she told the nurse pointing to the IV tube
The nurse did the necessary and left

She placed her fruit juice on the table and headed towards the washroom,she opened the door and turned her head towards me
Don't touch it,she said before entering the washroom
I scanned the room looking for what exactly she said I shouldn't touch
My eyes fell on it and I smiled 'the juice'?
I took it and gulped down a good amount ,I topped it with water and returned it to its position

She came in and settled down in the bed ,I adjusted myself in my chair which was just beside her bed I pressed play and we started watching our movie...

Half way through the movie,she took her juice from the table with her eyes still glued on the screen not paying much attention to the juice....
She gulped it and  the next moment everything was out wetting her bed
I laughed at her like I laughed till my ribs hurt
her face didn't help either she just looked like a clown with her eyes which has become a light shade of red and her mouth forming an 'O'
She just sat there staring at me
'e shock u?' I asked her using the popular phrase to tease her
I told you I will get you I said reminding her.she got up from the bed and pressed the Green button a cleaner appeared and changed the bed sheets a new hospital gown was given to her
All this while she didn't utter a word
After changing she settled in the bed and continued watching the movie
I was worried now like what's happening
'Lamley' I called
Lamley I called again,she looked at me and burst out laughing
See your face ,she said still laughing
'gotchuuuu' she said sticking her tongue out
e shock you? She said mimicking me
'Copy cat' I said and turned to the movie after thirty minutes we were done with it
I checked the time and it was already 6:30pm
Lamley I need to go,I said packing my laptop
Are you leaving me?she pouted
Are you leaving me ?I said it in a girlish voice mimicking her
We both started laughing,my phone started ringing I looked at the screen ,incoming video call from YODA💙 displayed on the screen
(Okay I think I will be passing the night here )
I slide the the green button and her cheerful face came into view
Where's Lamley?
I blocked my ears before answering she's just here why are you shouting?
She laughed at my gesture
I handed the phone to Lamley and sat on my chair again
I answered a few questions they were throwing at me
Jimmy the reopening date is it 12th or 13th
Jimmy I think Myla has a a crush on you oo
do you like her ?
No please,I replied earning me a laughter from them
They continued talking and talking as I slowly gave in to sleep

Jimmy,Jimmy
Hmmmm? I replied while yawning
She gave me my phone and my eyes went wide
10pm?
Lamley I need to go
'Sure ,goodnight' she said giving me a hug
'Goodnight I replied' after breaking from the hug

I came out from the ward after seeing to it that her nurses have attended to her
I walked into the elevator opposite her room and keyed in first floor .
Immediately I arrived at the first floor a guy my age was rushed in he was being wheeled on a stretcher bed although an oxygen mask  was placed on his nose I got a glimpse of his face
A very fine boy,I thought to myself
What happened to him though,with all these machines it must be serious ....

I walked out of the hospital and a cool breeze hit my body
I inhaled ,exhaled and adjusted my bag strap
I sighted the Uber I ordered a few minutes ago and jogged to it

30mins later I was in front of my house gate
I pressed the bell for the 4th time and there was no response
I brought out my phone and called my sister
Jade am outside
Am coming
She opened her arms and engulfed me in a hug
Why are you late
I passed by the hospital to check on Lamley
Ohh I see ,hope she's fine
Yhuppp
I  tiptoed to  my room since my parents were already asleep and I didn't want them being disturbed

I dropped my bag on my study chair,removed my sweat pants and shirt and went straight to the washroom to wash down
I lied on my bed,checked a few messages and drifted of to sleep........
