Hey! As said in the description, This is my first X-reader, but! rest assured! I do have writing experience, as I have written many stories before (I haven't published them because they're private ._.)

Anyways, I know the first chapter is short, but the ones afterwards will be longer, I promise. (Also it's hard to get Grell's character right so please hang with me ^^")

Now, let the story begin!!~

I jumped from rooftop to rooftop, my chainsaw whirring in my hands. Tonight I had only one job left to do, to collect the soul of a young woman named (Y/f/n) (Y/l/n). I stopped, a few buildings away from where she was supposed to die, and adjusted my glasses, loking down at the entrance of the building she was supposed to run out of. "Where is she...?" I muttered to myself, just before the loud bang of a pistol was heard, then a scream. I smiled, showing off my shark-like teeth. "Well then," I snickered, jumping down to the door.

Just before I walked in, it swung open to reveal a female, a few inches shorter than me. She had (h/c) hair, (e/c) eyes, and she was covered in blood. Not that it looked bad on her.

I stepped back a bit. She was holding a gun in her hand, which she quickly pointed at me. "Who are you?" She asked me. I smiled, pulling out the book that was the To-Die-List. "You're...(Y/n), Aren't you?" I asked, glancing up at her over the rims of my spectacles. She paused for a second before nodding. "How did you know my name? Who are you?" She insisted, pushing the gun to my chest. I looked at it, then put the book away. "Well, you didn't die on time, so I'll have to kill you myself," I began. "So you might as well know. I, my dear, am Grell Sutcliff." I said, grinning. I pulled the string on my chainsaw and gave it a whirr.

(Y/n)'s eyes widened for a second before she glared at me and pulled the trigger. It shot right through my stomach, causing quite a bit of blood to spurt out. "Ow, hey watch it, you little brat! This coat's special!" I grinned evilly, charging at her with the chainsaw. Her mouth opened in shock and she braced herself, and I went straight for her head.

But just before my spinning blade made contact with her skull, a pair of hedge clippers extended from about a yard away and stopped it. I made a confused face and looked towards where it came from, stopping my chainsaw. William stepped out from where he was, coming closer. "Grell Sutcliff, what are you doing? This human is not on the List." He said plainly. I loved it when he talked like he didn't care.

"Yes she is, look!" I showed him the book. He glanced at the name and sighed. "No, she's not. Look, Sutcliff, do you need new spectacles? That says (Name that sounds generally close you yours), not (Y/n)." He said, looking at the young woman. "I apologize for this." he said. She was obviously confused as all get-out, not saying anything or trying to get away. She just stood there. William sighed. "Sutcliff, you get to take care of this. And if I hear about a killing, you're getting demoted again." He instructed. "Yes, Will~" I replied, sighing as he went away. I looked over at (Y/n). "Well, you heard him. I can't kill you, what does he want me to do!?" I asked her in a frantic tone. She only looked at me as if I were the dumbest thing in the world.

"I don't know who you people are, or what you want from me, but I'm going back home." She said, quickly beginning to leave. I caught her by her (f/c) coat. "Now now, you can't be going back to that wretched apartment anytime soon. Now that you know who I am, you can't go anywhere." I said, chuckling, as she struggled to get away. She turned around and grabbed my arm, twisting it until it hurt pretty badly (Don't worry, no Grells were hurt in the making of this story :3), and forcing me to let go. "Gah!" I yelped, clutching my arm. "You little..." I muttered, whirring up my chainsaw to chase after her, when I remembered I couldn't kill her. "Drat!" I growled and ran after her.

I ran after her for about two munites, but she never ran out of energy, and she was fast. Eventually I trapped her in an alley, but as soon as I chased her down to the back of it, She was gone. "What the...?" I said to myself, looking for where she might have gone, but there were no clues anywhere. "Now, where did she go?"
