Kris twiddled their pen between their fingers, when Susie broke their concentration.

"Dude. What's up?"

"Hey Suze. Nothing. What's up with you?"

"Cool. I got this one family member coming to my house for dinner this weekend and he always bitches about how I should date somebody and it suuuuucks." Susie moaned.

"Damn. That's gotta suck."

"I-I was wondering if you could pretend to be my..."

"Your what?"

"I know what I'm gonna say but, I hate to be that person but I forgot your gender. You look like the most masculine female or a feminine guy."

"I'm trans ya dingus. Just call me a girl or something. I identify as a girl but I like the benefits of being a guy."

"Okay, jeez, I'm sorry for forgetting your gender. Anyways, I can just make up this fib about me me being bisexual and you can pretend to be my girlfriend for the weekend. It's just a favor, you don't need to be super lovey dovey, I just need you to act like my girlfriend so they don't bitch about me being single at 18."

"Hmm. I'll think about it."

"Thanks."

Noelle ran up beside Susie, "You know, I can pretend to be your girlfriend!"

"Thanks Noelle, but I honestly know Kris better than you. No hard feelings though, right?"

"Y-yeah.. no hard feelings." She said, sounding discouraged.

"Cool. I'll see you around, Christmas cookies."

"After a while, crocodile."

"Heh. I'll gut you like a fish if you call me a crocodile again."

Noelle began to panic, "S-sorry Susie I just thought that-" She cut off Noelle, "Hey, I'm only threateningly joking. I'd never have the balls to gut you like a fish. In fact, I don't have any balls, so. Yeah."

"Heh. Okay then, ya silly goose. See you later!"

"See you around, antlers."

Susie looked at the bulletin board of her high school.

"Hm. Somebody's selling a futon. Interesting."

Kris unlocked their door and threw their backpack onto the coat hanger of their house and greeted her mother.

"Hey mom." They greeted.

"Hello Kris! Did you have a good day at school?" Said Toriel, as she sat up from her Chairiel. "Eh. It was okay. Talked with friends so that's cool. What's on TV?"

"I don't know, you watch that thing more than me. I just need my books to keep me entertained. Oh! Did you know that this character in the book is trans too?"
