Not Alone

Chapter 6

I sat there for a while. They all stayed around my car; Keith and Skyler were knocking on the windows but it wouldn't do anything. I didn't cry at that moment I just stared at the window. I don't know why I didn't drive away, I just sat there.
I got a text from an unknown number. I didn't answer or read it because I wasn't in the mood.
I turned and looked out the window at the three people standing there.
Keith and Skyler were both closest to the window saying something I couldn't hear or understand. I looked at Harry and he was shaking his phone. It was him who texted me. I honestly wonder why he was here.
I looked at my phone and it read
Let's just go home
I didn't answer but I did take my car and put it in reverse. I got out of the parking lot. Even though I had two of the closest people to me chasing my car I didn't stop.
I drove and drove as far as I could before I felt the tears start coming. I stopped the car near the sidewalk and let it all come out. I heard a knock on the opposite end of my window. It was Harry. I actually rolled down the window for him.
"What Harry?"
"Unlock the car." He said half pissed.
I wiped the tears away even though there was no use he had seen me crying. I reached for the unlock button and then he was in the car.
He didn't say anything he just sat there. It was like that for awhile until he opened his mouth.
"Are you alright?"
I looked at him and he understood.
"It's okay you'll be fine. He was garbage."
I found it weird how the "bad boy" was trying to comfort me.
"You don't understand." I put my hands on my eyes and tried not to cry in front of Harry.
"If I said I do would you believe me?" I looked up at him with a puffy face from crying. I gave him a confused look and he said nothing about it.
"There's a lot you don't know about me."
"Look I don't know why your here but I feel like I do. You go from girl to girl just for your pleasure when your done with the first you dump them and move on."
"Everyone has a story, how bout we go home now baby girl. He got out of my car before I could say anything else. What was there to Harry Styles that I didn't know.
I looked at my side mirrors and there he was in a black Range Rover. He didn't move until I did.
He followed me the whole time, to every gas station I stopped at and every turn I took he followed until we were back in Cheshire and he headed home.
When I got home my mums voice rang through the house.
"Your home early."
I ran into her arms and told her everything that had happened. She held me in her arms, she listened to everything I had to say.

I skipped school the next day. I ignored everyone.
I looked at my phone and had more texts from Skyler and Keith then everyone else wondering where I was. I read through everything they had to say but didn't answer once. There were short ones but also paragraphs from both of them saying they were sorry.
I answered my phone when my mum texted me several times checking how I was feeling. I went through my text messages and there was the unknown number.
I went back a forth wether I should delete it or save the contact. My fingers clicked the add contact button and I soon found myself writing Harry Styles.
I didn't think about it till now; how did he even get my number?
I ignored Ellie, she was a good friend but I couldn't talk about it right now cause every time I thought about it I cried. I had already used up two Kleenex boxes. I know it was only a year but we were really close and closer then more couples because of everything that happened in London.

I watched the clock for hours and soon enough it was 3:00 meaning school was over and it didn't take long for the door to ring. It was Ellie.
"Hey you don't answer your texts what's wrong."
I didn't answer I just moved aside to let her in.
I gave her my phone and showed her the texts I was getting from Keith and Skyler. She understood and hugged me right away. I tried not to cry but I couldn't help it.
When I was able to stop crying I told her what happened.
Then I murmured that Harry was there.
"What was he doing there?"
"I don't know, he was following me but I mean I really don't know."
"Well I got news about him, he broke up with Annabelle. She was crying the whole time at lunch and he wasn't seen anywhere today. Guess your not surprised."
"No I talked to him about it yesterday-speaking about yesterday he had gotten my number. How?"
"Right I forgot to tell you, during the party on Tuesday I had some drinks and he did ask me for it. I'm sorry"
I didn't hold a grudge on Ellie. In a way I was happy he was there but I wasn't telling anyone that.

My mum was home and Ellie had left when there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it."I had made progress from being in my room I was now on the couch.
When I opened the door Harry was there.
"Hey." I looked at him and he was in tight black jeans and a white t-shirt.
"Who is it." My mum said coming closer.
"Hi I'm Harry." He said extending his hand.
"Leanne."
I stood there awkward.
"I just wanted to see how Marianne was doing. I'll just see you tomorrow then."
"No we're about to have dinner and you could join us." My mum offered.
He shook his head but my mum insisted and he was pulled inside. I sat down across my mum as she set up a plate and fork next to me for Harry.
I didn't say a word at all through diner but they were having a full conversation. He even helped clear his plate when we were all finished.
My mom left us alone and we went to the living room.
"You broke up with Annabelle. Why?"
"It's not about her I actually wanted to see if you were okay. "
"I'm good thank you."
"Look I know you have a bunch of questions to ask me but to answer the one about Annabelle, she was never what I wanted and now I know what I want. I want you."

There both single now!!
