Draco:

The library is soundless. Suppressed. The only thing that could be heard is the dull, inaudible, whispers in the distance; and the light flipping of pages. I have always loved the sequestered spot located in the back corner of the place. It's dimly lit, with a frayed couch; enclosed by dozens of old books many don't pay any attention to, scatter amongst dust. It's tranquil and solidarity. Just how I like it. This spot has been mine ever since I could remember. Coming here on late nights to cram in last minute assignments or just getting away from the reality that goes on outside of the run down bookshelves. I find myself in the back corner, again; one late afternoon. She walks in. Her hair in a loose braid as it always was, down her back. Strands of dark, blonde, wavy hair framing her face. Her eyes were sunken and tired, as if she had been up early morning. Her eyes had always seemed to speak more than what she was actually saying. She quietly sat down across from me, but enough distance to avoid contact. A wooden chair with an with an old wooden desk is where she sat. She pulled out a hardcover copy of a book she always had clung to her ever since we were kids. I could never understand why that book. The book's binding is still barely intact, even with the multiple layers of masking tape wrapped around it. She opens it and absentmindedly twists the loose strand of a blonde wave that lays across her eyebrow, around her finger. I've always hated her, but somehow, someway, I've had always been drawn to her. Her wit, maybe? Her passion? But, God forbid I show any actual interest in her. I'm obligated to hate her. It's destined. The Malfoys and the Primroses are obligated to hate each other. It's been like this since before we were born. Due to this animosity between our families, we never had an actual conversation without fighting. My sarcasm with her wit, never seemed to mix well...
As I obliviously watch her, that's when it happens. She looks up from her book for the first time, in what seems like ages. Dark blue eyes locked on mine. She sends an disdainful look my way and I return it with an sarcastic smirk, as always. And she's the first one to look away first, and it's over. Until it happens again.
