Author's note: Thea is in Slytherin, and another character I added as well: Aurora "Rory" Elks.
Enjoy :))-
The rays of sunlight through the stained glass windows is what wakes me. Well that and the anxious voice of my friend Aurora.
"Thea wake up! We are going to miss breakfast if you don't get up right now," Rory says shaking me out of bed. Rory is always in a jovial mood when it comes the first day of school. She always looks neatly put together might I add as well. Her dark hair tied in a half-up half-down hairstyle, with tiny dark curls framing her face. Along with, black eyeliner, light blush, and a dark lipgloss.
I rise immediately from my bed and shiver slightly from the cool planks underneath me. I observed the empty beds around us, Daphne and Pansy must already be in the great hall; amongst the rest of the Slytherins. The beds are neatly made and the fragrant smell of perfume still lingers in the air. After gaining conscious from just having waking up, I quickly gather my robes from my wardrobe and get dress. I mutter some simple spells to fix the tangled mess in my hair, and tie my hair into a loose braid down my back. I manage to do some light makeup as well before Rory is rushing me out the dorm.
"Primrose, Elks, are you both coming to breakfast or not?" Theo yells from the common room.
"Coming Nott!" Rory yells as we make our way to the common room.
Theo is already making his way to the Great Hall as we enter the common room, following close behind him.
I'm still processing waking up, as the three of us enter the Great Hall. The Hall was beautifully displayed as always. Floating candles decorated throughout the air, torches lit with fire hanging across the wall, smiling faces spread across the house's tables; chatting and laughing loudly. The sweet and savory aroma filling the air as you first walk in was one of my first out of many favorite memories as a first year.
As we walk to the Slytherin table, oblivious to my surroundings, I bump into someone.
"So sorry, I-" I stuttered. Until I realized who it was.
Malfoy.
"Watch where you are going, Primrose." He snapped back, as he shoved past me along with Crabbe and Goyle.
"Oh Merlin forbid I wrinkle your robe, Malfoy" I shot right back at him, sending him an withering look.
He opens his mouth to say something, but stops as Theo takes my arm, pulling me away before anything else happens.
"God, does he always have to be such a prick?" Rory says watching him leave the hall.
"That's Malfoy for you." Theo replies, letting go of my arm as we sit down with the rest of the Slytherins.
I sit in between Daphne and Rory, with Pansy, Blaise, and Theo in front of us. Daphne, Pansy, and Blaise's plates are filled with food and treats that appear before us on the table. I make a cup of tea, as I always do in the mornings; and sip quietly listening to the others conversation as I hope to wake up.
"Late as always." Blaise sighs while shaking his head.
"Oh you're to talk." I scoff. "Remember your birthday last year? You were 2 hours late. To your own birthday, Zabini." I added.
"And why was that?" Rory said with a smirk.
"Probably fooling around with some Ravenclaw girl" Daphne said, sipping her tea.
"Oh shove off, Greengrass. Don't even get me started with you." Blaise says with a mouthful of eggs.
"Well I would've been on time, if it weren't for these two." Theo interrupts, pointing his fork at both Rory and I.
"Well, I was ready in a matter of fact." Rory says, while buttering her toast. "Someone didn't want to get out of bed this morning." Rory draws out, looking at me.
I rolled my eyes and continued to sip my tea.
"Oh and how was your beauty sleep, Princess?" Blaise says with sarcasm.
"It was okay, would've been great if someone didn't walk in so late." I say sipping my tea, looking at Pansy through the top of my cup.
"You little-" Pansy starts, until she stops and glares at something or someone, standing behind me.
"How's our favorite slytherin doing?" A voice comes from behind me, causing me to spill my tea on my robe.
I turn around to see two tall red headed twins, towering over me. "Ah, my two charming Gryffindors." I say, standing to greet them both with a smile. "Haven't seen you two in what seems like ages."
"Come on, we got something to show you." says George, grabbing my hand.
"You can't just tell me?" I say, standing still.
"No, no it's something you have to see." George replies, tugging on my hand leading me out of the hall. "Hurry or you will miss it. Don't want that to happen, now do we?"
"Ah, how mysterious of you both." I say, glaring at the two of them.
"You know us, Prim. Always have tricks up our sleeves." Fred says smirking.
I roll my eyes and let the two Weasleys lead the way to their 'surprise'. I turn to look back at the Slytherin table and see disapproving looks on all of their faces. I blow them all a kiss with a smirk, and earn a smile from Rory; before the five of them return to their conversations. The twins lead me down the hall with mischievous smiles as always, with Fred's arm around my shoulder. Merlin, whatever it is I hope it's worth being late.
