Chapter 11: Here At The Crystal Fair

We're at Crystal Prep!
Looking around us, it's pretty hard to accept

What could of happened? It's a complete mess!

We got to reverse it now
Come on, we're running out of time!

Get out of the darkness

The Main Eight all finished looking around at how bad the weather looked around at Crystal Prep. And everything else, just looked like it was faded in colors.

"Have you found anything there?" Sunset Shimmer asked.

"Nope, I haven't." Sunny Flare said.

"We've been looking around for the Crystal Heart, for like five minutes already." Rainbow Dash said.

"We got to hurry. But I don't think it's out here?" Applejack said.

"I've checked the front yard. It's not there." Indigo Zap said.

"Wait, if I'm correct." Sugarcoat said. She looked up. "Hey! Look up there!" She said. "I see the Crystal Heart! It's up there at the top of the roof of the school!" She pointed up. "Just like I guessed, that it must of been the last place that we forgot to look at."

"Sugarcoat! You're absolutely right!" Starlight Glimmer said.

"You sure do have a great eye." Sunburst said.

"Yeah. I know I do." Sugarcoat said, bluntly.

"Quick! Who's coming with me to the roof?" Sunset Shimmer said. "We got to act fast because Dean Sombra is outside here too. I don't know where he is at? But I feel like I can feel his energy somewhere? And we don't want him to get his hands on the Crystal Heart." She opened the door inside.

"I'll go with you!" Twilight Sparkle said. "Since I know where the roof is at. It's upstairs inside!"

"I'll help too!" Rainbow Dash said. "Because I know that my speed will be needed for this." She ran inside.

"We will stay here to protect everyone else outside here," Fluttershy said. "We will use our powers to help people, as much as we possibly can."

"I'm right with you on that, darling." Rarity said, creating a diamond shield to protect all of them in some sort of diamond-magic bubble.

"And we have to wait to help Juniper escort everyone else near the Crystal Heart." Sour Sweet said. "Whenever they get here, of course."

Sunset, Twilight, and Rainbow were all running in the empty hallway. Rainbow activated her blue geode-necklace. "Alright! This will be quick!" She took a hold of Twilight and Sunset's wrists separately. "Hold on!"

"Wait, Rainbow." Twilight said. "I'm not ready--" she was cut off as Rainbow literally rainbow-dashed her way up the stairs, leaving behind a rainbow blur in some seconds. She then let go of their wrists.

"Woah, that was fast." Sunset said, seeing them stop at a gray door. It was the door that lead to the roof.

"It's all in a day's work!" Rainbow kicked open the door. Twilight and Sunset ran behind her. They were all now on the roof top of the Crystal Prep building.

"We made it to the roof top!" Twilight said.

"Look! There's the Crystal Heart!" Rainbow pointed to the Crystal heart-gem that was in front of them in some sort of clear glass-white case. "It's in that glass case."

"I'll get it!" Twilight said. She ran to the case. And put her hands out, using her pink magic to teleport it to appear in her hand right away. "Got it. I--" Dark-black crystals started to form around her, trapping her in a circle. "Oh no!"

"Twilight!" Sunset and Rainbow shouted.

"I can't get out!" Twilight said. "It looks like that I have to throw this Crystal Heart up! One of you, catch it!" she used her magic to put her hand out to toss the Crystal Heart in the air.

"I got it!" Sunset caught it. She then gasped and her eyes turned into circles, seeing a dark shadowy-essence appear into the air around them. "Oh no! It's Dean Sombra! He's here!"

"Twilight! How are we going to get you out? We got to go fast or else Sombra is going to get us!" Rainbow backed away with Sunset into a corner, to the point where they almost fell off the top of the building.

"Ughhh!" Twilight tried using her magic to get out and tried using her wings to fly out. "It's no use! I'm trapped in these dark crystals!" She said in defeat. She fell down to her knees, as she was exhausted with using up her energy for magic. "I can't get out! Leave here, without me! Getting the Crystal Heart to its rightful designated place is more important than saving me! Just go! You have no time to lose!"

Dean Sombra started to appear more closer to Sunset and Rainbow. He had a devilish smile. "Give me the Crystal Heart! All of Crystal Prep and the Crystal Fair, will be all mines! I will rule it, with all my shadows of darkness!"

Sombra's shadowy essence cornered them. "No! Never!" Sunset grabbed the Crystal Heart tightly with her hands. She backed away.

She looked scared to see that if she decided to take one more step, then she would fall from the roof and would realize that all of her effort would go down to the drain. All wasted. And, so would her life too.

But she refused to go down this easily. There had to be another way! One that is right under her nose-- her HOOF!... That is?...but what could it possibly be? She had yet to find this out in time.

"WHAT!? HOW DARE YOU REFUSE!" Sombra was angry. "You shall taste my anger and wrath!" As he said that, it caused Rainbow's eyes to sparkle with her mouth open in awe. She had thought up of an idea. A rather good one, to be exact.

"Sunset!" Rainbow said.

"Rainbow!? What is it?" Sunset turned to the side, looking into Rainbow's purple-red eyes.

"Answer this quick! Do you trust me?" Rainbow asked her. "Please, I have to know!"

"Yes. I do! Of course. I will always trust you, Rainbow! Even with my life. You're my friend." Sunset said, as the wind blew her hair up and down. "Why wouldn't I?"

Rainbow looked quickly at Sombra, then to Twilight. Next, she looked behind her to look down at how far below they were from the roof. Her eyes dropped down. She could see her friends down there on the ground far away below. Then, she looked back at Sunset. "Okay! Here we go!" She quickly pushed Sunset off the roof top, making her fall down backwards into the air.
