"Allllllrighty campers!" David exclaimed with his hands on his hips, "our first activity today will be art!" I smiled to myself. We all followed David to a small area with canvases, paint, pencils, and water cups. Perfect. The material is a bit worn out but I can work with that. I sat next to a smaller kid who was painting a flower. He turned to me. "Hello!" The kid said. He had a strong accent. German think? "Oh, hi." I smiled at him. "What are you painting?" He asked. I turned to my canvas. "I'm painting a sunset," I told him, "what about you?" He stopped gazing at my art and turned to his own. "I'm painting a flower!" I looked over his art. It's good. "What's your name?" I ask him. "I'm Dolph!" I answered. "I like your name." I told him. He smiled and said a small 'thank you'. After art we all headed to the lake. "I've got nothing else planned today and David had to go into town so we'll all be swimming." A tall female, who was clearly exhausted, said. The kids all cheered and headed to their tents to get changed.
Everyone got back to the docks and jumped in. I anxiously stood at the edge of one of the docks. "What are you doing?" I heard someone from behind me ask. I turned around to see Max. "W-Well, um I- uh.." I stuttered. The truth is, I don't know how to swim. It's embarrassing. "Oh my god, you can't swim!" Max chuckled. "I-I...yeah, I can't swim." Max continued to laugh and I sighed and was beginning to turn around until I felt something hard push me into the water. I was pushed all the way down and quickly opened my eyes to see Nikki. I began to panic because I couldn't swim up. I thought I was gonna die before I left something lift me up to the surface. I huffed, trying to get air back into my lungs. I looked around to see everyone had shocked looks on their faces. I turned to see who picked me up and I saw it was Max. He walked to shore and put me down. "Nikki you dumbass!" He shouted at the mint haired girl. "I..- I'm sorry Y/n!!" Nikki exclaimed, she came up and hugged me. "Hey! It's ok." I giggled, patting her back. Everyone was still shocked. "Hey Max, why'd you save the new girl? I thought you didn't care about anyone here." A boy with I think I fish bowl on his head called out. Max scoffed and rolled his eyes. "I DON'T care about anyone here. I just didn't want to see someone die today." He said, crossing his arms and walked away. "Y/n! Are you ok? I saw everything." I heard David call behind me, running. I nodded and smiled. "I'm ok! No harm done." I reassured him. We all called it a day and headed back to our tents to dry off.
