Makes Sense
CERYS FITZGERALD WAS UTTERLY PISSED that she needed to learn karate. She thought it was pointless, stupid, and a waste of her damn time. Literally, that was a quote she said to her older sister, Poppy.
"You're going to get started with Robby." Daniel said calmly as he led her to the back of Miyagi-do. "He's starting out fresh just like you. I've only taught him a few things."
The Fitzgerald girls eyes widened at the sight of the Keene boy. She hadn't seen him in around a year but, he looked the same. Exactly the same as when they broke up.
"My life is a fucking mess." The girl mumbled to herself, loud enough for the LaRusso man to hear her.
"Lesson one, watch that language. It doesn't prove a point and you're better off without it." Daniel pointed her in the other direction. "Go ahead, he'll tell you what to do."
Cerys sighed, letting her feet drag on the ground as she approached him. Robby looked up, narrowing his eyes at her. Of course he was pissed, why wouldn't he be?
"What are you doing here?" He asked through gritted teeth.
"Looks like we are going to be karate buddies." The Fitzgerald girl commented with a fake smile, letting it fall almost immediately. "Get used to it."
"Since when have you ever wanted to be a part of something?" Robby questioned, looking down at the deck and scrubbing it down.
"Since I was forced into it." Cerys kneeled down, grabbing a sponge from the small bucket beside him. "So, we are janitors now?"
"Something like that." The Keene boy replied hesitantly.
This wasn't gonna be fun at all.
AFTER HOURS OF WORKING, THE TRIO FINALLY FINISHED SETTING UP THE DOJO. They cleaned, painted, decorated, and talked, Cerys getting filled in on all the drama of Cobra Kai. She had heard all about the other dojo, how they showed "no mercy", how Daniel knew the sensei in high school, and how their best fighter hurt Robby in the tournament.
It was safe to say Cerys was ready to learn karate just to kick all their asses.
Surprisingly, she enjoyed all the work Mr. LaRusso had given her. It gave her time to think, time to motivate herself, and most importantly, gave her some type of direction to follow.
"So, are you going to tell us how your day went?" Aiden asked, a slight smile on his face. He felt guilty for forcing his sister to go but, as a young adult he didn't know how to raise one teenage girl, let alone two.
