David's POV:

I'm not sure if that car ride could've been anymore perfect and cheesey or any more awkward. I didn't even realize how close we had gotten until the last verse. If it wasn't awkward, I kinda wish it had lasted forever. Just holding her hand and looking into her eyes up close. Her beautiful (e/c) eyes. Her eyes were wide,
From discomfort? From suprise? I was pretty close..

I cleared my throat and looked at the road and stopped.

"Oh! We're here!"

Y/n looked at where we were,
She raised an eye brow, "where's here exactly? The name, "chill and thrill" doesn't give me too much of an idea. Soooooo, can I know now?"
She asked leaning in closer, she was like a child asking there parent for candy before dinner. It was kinda cute.

I sighed and laughed, "okay okay fine, we're going to a drive in movie theater."

She looked at me,
Was she happy disappointed? Gah this is..

"Oh this gonna be fun!" She enthusiastically clapped her hands together And she had to let go of my grip to do so.  Which left a small frown on my face before quickly becoming a smile, "what movie is it? Action romance comedy??" She asked excitedly.

"No, horror."

She paused, "david? Watching a horror movie? I didn't think you had it in ya," she teased.

I nervously chuckled, "heh, I don't. But Gwen told me you love horror movies so we'll, if I have to over come my fears of gouls and ghosts then gosh darn it I will!"

That sounded... so lame.

She grabbed my hand again, "aww, Davy. You're doing this for me?"

My cheeks flushed red, "uh yea! Of course."

This looks so much easier in movies..

I drove around to find a really good, no perfect spot. I reversed my car so the bed of it was facing the giant screen in the middle of a field.
All with her hand in mine.

"We should set up the bed, we don't have much longer till the movie starts," I pointed out.

"Yea! Sounds good!" She said letting go of my hand to get out and move to the bed of my truck.
In the corner we're the spare blankets from the camp and even some from my own house.

We spread out the blankets and pillows just in time for the movie to start.
It was really awkward. We were sitting a comfortable but uncomfortable distance from each other, till. And I can't believe I'm saying this, thank god for jump scares. We both leaned over to hug each other as we screamed. And frankly. I think we were both too scared to let go.
Eventually she laid her head on the bridge of my neck and relaxed. She held onto my arm with one arm and with her other arm held my hand.

Now this is like the movies.

There we were at 9:30 pm. On our first date-not set up by 10 year olds- holding onto each other and screaming when we got scared.

How could this get any better.

I was right looking back at it. It didn't get any better. It got a whole lot worse after that night, everything did.

After the movie was over she turned to me, "Holly- mind my language- shit. That was a twist. I mean, who would've thought the mom would've been the ghost!?" She yelled.

I laughed trying to ease the mood, "yea remind me to stay away from all moms." She laughed.

"Hey do you wanna get some food form the stand? There 10 minutes till the next movie." I asked.
