All night, all I thought of was the close call. I almost couldn't sleep, and when I got home, it was 12:48. I got up to the sound of my doorbell. I open it and was shocked to see Mitch. He didn't even look like he drank last night. "Good morning, beautiful," he says. I look up and smile because I'm to tired to say good morning back. "Looks like u just woke up." "I did. That's why I didn't say good morning." He nods so I guess he got what I was trying to say. I jester him to come in and he accepts. I've had enough time by now to where I can tell him the secret. "Hey, I need to tell you something about last night," I say calmly. "Anything you need, I'm here." "Well, when you were off somewhere that I didn't even now, I saw Lachlan staring at me. I hurried to look away, but was too late; he was already in front of me. We had a little chat, then, out of nowhere, he tried to kiss me. I pushed him away and said that you're my boyfriend, but it almost sounded like a scream. Please don't be mad at me or Lachlan." He was speechless, I could tell. I was too, so I just looked down at the floor. He slowly brings his hand to mine and holds it. We look at each other at the same time and giggle. Typical Mitch and Chloe moment. Mitch gets a text from someone and says that he has to go, so we say goodbye. Right after Mitch left, I got a call from Lachlan. "Hello," I ask. "Hey, are you at your house?" "Yes, and why might you want to know?" "I'm coming over to see you, baby." "Lachlan, very sweet but you know that Mitch is my boyfriend." He hangs up. This is SO stressful! I can't take it much longer. But why does he want to see me and why did he call me baby?
