Chapter 6

'Princess, please talk to me.'

Isabella ignored Hunter while they ate.

When he made to take the spoon from her, she glared at him, 'what is it?'

He replied,'I want you to talk to me, please.'

She rolled her eyes and shook her head. 'Let me eat first then we will talk,hmm?'

He nodded, feeling some hope rekindle in him.

After dinner, Isabella walked upstairs with Hunter following behind.

'Babe, I was trying to figure out something to do about Thalia's case. She's a fraud. Her real name is Valerie St.James.'

Isabella's glare softened,'you are forgiven.'

Hunter grinned and raised her, which so much ease that she squealed,'Hunter, put me down!' He turned around and she tightened her hold on him.

"Thank you for understanding me, love."

With that, he kissed her.

Isabella's P. O. V

I woke up feeling annoyed. It has been almost a month after the beach incident and Hunter won't let us be for a minute. He kept guards in the house 24/7. Mom herself was annoyed with dad sticking to her like glue all in the name of security. Dad was never involved in a gang but damn he had some awesome fighting and shooting techniques up his sleeves.

Right now, I was sharing the room with Hunter as if we were married likewise my friends. The guards were only there to protect the people in the house but the guys were our personal bodyguards.

Thessan and Dawn were always in their room but no one ever bothered to check on them.

I sighed and glanced at the sleeping devil beside me. I raised my fist, ready to rearrange his gorgeous face but I had to remind myself that I will rather end up feeling the pain.

I walked to the washroom still feeling sleepy. I washed my face.

Hunter's P. O. V

I woke up with a smile on my face. I stirred and hugged my baby only to realize that I was the only one in bed.

I panicked and called out,"Princess!"

I heard her yell,"I'm right here!"

I could almost see her rolling her eyes at me. I sighed but I suddenly felt conscious and on full alert. I turned to see to see a man smirking at me before moving towards the bathroom.

I tensed and ran into the bathroom. Isabella screamed but I could care less at her vulnerable state while I ran into the bathroom and lowered her to the ground, the same time the bullet pierced through the glass, shattering the delicate material around us.

She stared at me with wide eyes. Her skin is so soft. I gave her a gentle squeeze and she squealed, trying to pull away.

I was confused until I realized where my hand laid. My eyes widened, I was literally having a full round breast in my hold. I quickly drew my hand away quickly.

I stuttered,"I...I a...am so...sorry I... didn't know it won't ha...happen again."

I wasn't prepared for the teasing as she took a towel to cover herself while we walked out.

"Tiger is stuttering, oh my! Wait until everyone hears this."

I glared at her,"you wouldn't dare."

She smirked,"oh I would. Honey you just forgot that I love dares." She pecked my lips before running into the closet, giggling.

I turned serious, I need to start being vigilant. How could someone sneak through this tight security?

I walked to my office to think about this case.

Isabella's P. O. V

It was afternoon when five men walked in. They ignored us and started towards my room but I called,"hey! Stop right there. You didn't even acknowledge us and the nerve you have to walk to MY room. Who are you in the first place?"

One of them chuckled, clearly amused about my small figure compared to his intimidating figure. Heck my Tiger was more intimidating.

"Who are you, pipsqueak?"

Oh he did not just call me that.

I heard dad say,"dude, she is the boss lady, trust me you don't wanna mess with her."

The guy burst out laughing and his colleagues joined him. When I was about to use action instead of useless words, a deep voice asked,"am I missing something funny here?"

I sighed and walked straight to Hunter, purposely bumping my shoulder against his shoulder violently, while glaring at him.

"Hunter, did you get these men here for some work or are they here to insult me?"

I asked with fake tears while I smirked at the man with a dropped jaw.

Hunter's eyes darkened in anger,"what did he do?!"

I shed more tears and said,"let's go to your office. I want to lean unto you while I sleep. He called me a pipsqueak."

Hunter's jaw clenched, something I always found to be very sexy. "He did what?!"

The man stuttered,"I...i a...am so... sorry."

I smirked at the man while he glared at me but I flipped him off. "Hunter it is okay, let's go. He was just being a JERK that's all."

Hunter nodded and warned,"the next time it happens, you will be gone." The men nodded and and I heard dad say,"told you, she's the boss lady and you don't wanna mess with her or else you'll have trouble with the boss."

I giggled as I held Hunter's arm to his office. Once we got there,I started to feel giddy,"what?" Hunter asked.

I giggled,"you look sexy when you clench your jaw." He smirked, oh I just awakened his ego.

"You think I'm sexy, gorgeous?" I blushed and flirted,"you think I'm gorgeous, handsome?"

I twirled a strand of my hair, something I knew he liked to see me do. In just a second, his lips were on mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck. When we pulled away, I blushed and he pulled me to sit in his lap.

"Help me with some paperwork, Princess." I nodded,"gladly." We spent the rest of the day, working until Ivory called us for dinner.
