Red was never my name

The mysterious food package

She sits at her desk using a blue and purple knife to carve words and pictures into the wood she slides the blade in her jacket sleeve as the teacher Mr.Jackson enters the room "well class we have some disturbing new it seems we have a new student" he smiles as a kid in a red jacket enters the room his hair as dark as night he scans the room as he enters stopping on her and not looking away she watches him as he introduces himself but she can't hear anything the kid then takes a seat in the back of the class shortly after sky is on the desk looking at her she looks back at the kid and he smiles a wicked grin at her then there is a loud crash and she jumps up looking down at sky broken on the floor laying next to a paper ball out of rage she screams at the kid but nothing comes out she try's to scream even louder as the kids around her appear to laugh then nothing just darkness just a single light is seen she heads toward it "Hello is anyone there what is going on" she walks for what feels like hours then she's falling into the darkness  she jumps up breathing heavily she sighs "it was just a dream" she sits down on the bed and looks out the window "looks like it morning alright guys get up time to depart" she looks around the room then stops in place as her gaze lands on a box wrapped in purple silk both Flitter and sky were already examining it "w-what is it?" she ask slowly getting closer sky looks at her and clicks she stops "ok ok I will stay here hurry and up open it, though" she sits down on the floor her legs crossed looking at the two bugs talk back and forth while looking at the box Flitter then flys up to the top and grabs hold of the top and pulls the fabric on the outside quickly unwraps reviling a shiny black box "It sorta looks like a lunch box what do you guys think" both bugs make a noise in agreement then the she get up ignoring Sky's protest "might as well open it nothing bad can happen its small so it should be fine" she takes a deep breath and grabs the side of the box then slowly starts to pull of the lid the smell of veggies and candy glazed fruit fill the air around her her stomach growls loudly as her mouth waters  "h-how did this get here guys" both bugs make frantic clicks they stop when her stomach growls again "do you think its safe" Sky jumped on her arm then crawled his way onto her hand he then scanned the box and its content he then let out a beep as his eyes turned from red to green "Ok so then it's safe to eat" she hesitantly grabbed a piece of food from the box "well here goes nothing" she took a small bite her mouth watering from the taste before she could stop herself she was shoveling the food in her mouth the bugs laughed "oh man it has been so long since I have ate actual food" she hiccuped and the bugs laughed even harder "Guess" she hiccuped again "I ate it to fast" she smiles then heads to the kitchen part of the room and makes herself some tea using the set she grabbed last night  while she was making it she wondered who could have brought that box and why "hey Flitter sky can you scan the room and see if there was any sign of a break it cause I know for a fact that I locked that door" the bugs quickly looked around the room searching the windows and the door for any sign but they found nothing "huh and yall didn't see anything or hear anything" the bugs shake their heads "what even I guess I better be Glad this person is nice enough to leave me food and not kill me in my sleep" she laughs she then pours the tea in a cup and takes a seat she sighs as she takes a sip "we has made it through the night" she looks out the window "Ya know for a split second I can almost forget that the world is not broken and dying but then again it is" she sits there for awhile thinking and drinking her tea Flitter and Sky play chasing each other around the room Sky made a crying sound as Flitter would fly out of reach she laughs watching them "alright guys it almost time to go" she washes the tea set and packs up her stuff she puts the box and its fabric in her bag as well along with some other items she thought would come in handy in the room "Sky Flitter are you ready" they clicked then jumped into her bag" as she walked down stairs she felt along the rail again her fingers rubbing each mark and grove once downstairs she placed the key back where she got it then she walked over to the tea room and looked around there was a couch and a few chairs they were old and worn with rips and tears here and there she sighs and sets the tea set back in the same spot she found them she carefully made sure they were in the same place "there looks like nothing ever changed" she smiles and turns looking around once more "so many good memory here and it's so different then what I remember I just can't believe this is the same building" with one last look she leaves the building once outside she smiles up at the sky the sun warming her slightly "it is already ten'O clock in the morning can't believe I was able to sleep in well on to the camp" with that she left without another glance at the hotel
