"Hey Johnas, were are we going?" Said Rose, curious and a bit annoyed for the trip. "How eager we are girl, just enjoy Manson and vibe." Said him giggling, putting in the car's radio Manson's "sweet dreams" cover.

After some other miles, Johnas parked the car on the side of the trail, and started walking. "H-Hey! Stop right there Joh! Wh-where are you going?! ...For the sake of God Joh, I'll kill you one of those days." Rose picked up the bags from the Jeep's back seats and ran after Johnas to not lose him out of sight.

Some hundred of yards torwards, a heavenly sight was in front of her: a lake, crystal clear, in the middle of a stretch of sand all around.

"Let's go little flower, we set the tents, then some baths. Before you speak a word, I had to stop the car, we were about to cross a protected area. It seems to be prohibited to cross it with every kind of vehicle. It disturbs the ecosistem, as they say." Rose puffed, and then set the tents and prepare sub gear.

Johnas after mounted the lawn chair and the parasol, and after having picked up some firewood, payed a fresh beer to Rose, and telling stories each other, they started waiting for the night to come.

It was twilight when they started dive, the lake was hundreds of yards deep, and after tens of them, they started to really look around them. They weren't scientist, nor scholars, nor marine biologists. Just amateurs. Sub amateurs, who just loved water and the lofe that was hidden by it. Especially the night. A pair of torch attached to the shoulders, a pair of cylinders, two flippers, some weight, and a lot of determination... And here they are, more than thirtyfive yards deep, in the middle of a lake full of corals and life. They were reporting each other, spoked each other, they learned sign language in order to speak under the water.

"Can we go further?" Mimes Rose "Not further than fiftyfive yards." Rembered Johnas to her.

They did more twenty yards, deeper and deeper, but after not much... They started floating, in the middle of nothing. Not like you float underwater. No. More like Astronauts do. Sailors between the stars... Why not subspace corps in addition to submarine corps? This was Johna's first thought. I'm the first space-sub.

Rose was panicking. Hyperventilating, feeling like she didn't have any kind of control on anything, and started rotating on herself. Johnas hugged her. She started slowing her breathe, curling up in fetal position between his arms, and calmed down.

Johnas started watching his surroundings... The stars, nor the floating, were due to a pressure variation, a reflex or to the streams... At all. It was like they were in space, but weren't freezing, in fact they were feeling the warmth of water at night. Johnas saw... The earth. Immense, spherical and giant.

And the moon... Alongside uncountable artificial satellites, orbiting around the earth, long and wide.

He started swimming in the sea, towards the earth, but the more he tries to reach it, the more he went further from it. Rose started swimming as fast as she could towards him, and it seemed she were attracted to him. They started dancing in the space, moving in circles, approaching and moving away from each other at the same time... They saw all the Milky Way, immense and scary... And crushed inside of a nebula in few seconds. There, as it was magnetic, finally managed to hug each other.

Together, coordinated like they could read one another's minds, launched themselves in the sane direction were they came from, and miraculously they landed on the Moon. There, they jumped towards the earth, and their bodies as they were teleported fiftyfive yards underwater, in the lake where they were dipped. They started coming out of the water, but when they looked at each other... They were composed of that nebula.

They ran out of the lake, but as soon as every part of their bodies was out of the water, they transmuted into sand, as white as milk.

Rose woke up with a salt, "Sweet Dreams" just finished, and Johnas burst out laughing. "Ready for the lake?" He said.
