It's gonna be great

Mark POV

„Lena, wake up! We are gonna be late for dinner with Steff and Thomas!", I said and tried to wake Lena up.
I don't know what was wrong with her. She has been like this for days now and she is always complaining about not feeling well.
„Yes, yes don't worry, I am already standing up.", she said and stood up. Suddenly her face turned white and she immediately ran into the bathroom. I ran after her, to hold her hair.
„Are you sure we should go to dinner with Steffi and Thomas? I mean, I can still cancel.", I said, but Lena shook her head.
„I am fine, sometimes this just happens.", she said, but I couldn't really believe her, so I furrowed my forehead.
„Trust Me Mark. I would tell you.", she said and smiled.
„Okay Fine, but as soon as you don't feel Well, we Are going to drive home, alright?", I asked and she smiled.
„How did I even deserve you?", she asked and kissed me softly.
„That's what I am asking myself every day.", I said, kissed her again.
I walked out of the bathroom, so Lena could get ready. I already was, I was wearing a jeans, a white t-Shirt and a thin jacket.
I sat down on the Piano, which I always do, when Lena is getting ready. I am just chinking some melodies, sometimes, if Lena needed even more time, I sang some words that were in my head.
But today, Lena was finished pretty quickly. She walked out of the bathroom and she looked absolutely stunning.
„Wow, Leni! You look amazing!", I said.
Lena smiled and her face turned red.
„Marek. Thank you. But look at you, I really appreciate, that you wear the shirt, that I got you. It looks great!", she said.
I softly kissed her again and then, I took her hand.
„We should really get going now. We are gonna be late.", I said.
We said goodbye to Kiwi and then got into the car. While driving to the restaurant, Lena and I weren't talking a lot. But it wasn't uncomfortable. The opposite. It was nice.
When we finally arrived at the restaurant, we immediately met Steff and Thomas.
„Hey you too! Nice to see you again. It's been far too long.", Steff said.
We didn't hug each other, because of Corona, but still it was amazing to see each other again.
We walked in and not many people were in the restaurant, which made it pretty easy to find a table.
When we ordered something to drink, I ordered a beer and so did Steff and Thomas. Only Lena didn't order alcohol, which I found a little confusing, but I decided not to ask her. Maybe she just didn't want to drink alcohol.
We talked, we laughed and Steff and I talked about the upcoming The Voice of Germany season. We were really excited about the new season and the other coaches and I was really looking forward to it. After a while, our food finally arrived and we started eating. I haven't eating anything today, so I was pretty hungry.
After we ate, we decided to go for a little walk in the park. Lena and I were holding hands and so did Steff and Thomas.
After about an hour of walking around the park, we said goodbye to Steff and Thomas and we drove home.
„Hey honey, are you okay? You've been so quiet today.", I asked.
„Really? So I now have to talk all the time, otherwise you are just gonna assume, I am not okay?", she said angrily and I was shocked about her reaction.
„Hey, I am just asking. Chill down.", I answered, rolled my eyes.
Lena didn't talk to me after that. And when we arrived at home, she said she's going out for a walk. When I asked her to come with her, she told me, she wanted to have some alone time.
I started to get a little bit angry, because I didn't know what I did wrong.
Maybe she just had a bad day, so I left her alone. Maybe her mood will be better when she comes back.
If I haven't been angry enough, my father called me, just to tell me, that they were going to sell the lake house, we owned in Bavaria.
„Why wouldn't you run this by me first dad? Ugh, whatever.", I said and hung up. I sat down on the couch, but then, it hit me....

Lena POV

I know I exaggerated before, but I just didn't want to talk to Mark right now. I texted Steff to ask if she was able to talk. I needed someone's advice. She answered that I could come visit her, so I did. Luckily, she doesn't live far away. When I arrived, it was kind of a chaos at their Home. Felix, their son was crying, the floor was filled with toys and Steff opened the door, trying to handle the mess.
„Hey Lena, come in.", she said.
I came in we sat down on the Couch and I suddenly started crying.
„Hey Leni, what's up?", Steff asked immediately and took me into her arms.
„Steff, I have to tell you something. It may be shocking, but I just have to tell someone.", I said.
„Sure, I am sure it's not that...", Steff said, but I interrupted her.
„I am pregnant.", I finally released the secret.
Steff stared at me, her eyes were wide open.
„And I just, I just know that I am going to fail as a mother and Mark, I mean, we said that we wanted to wait...", I said but Steff hugged me.
„Lena, those are amazing news! You and Mark are going to have a baby.", she said and wiped some tears of my face.
„What if I fail Steff? I mean, I am a musician and I can't do both.", I said and Steff laughed.
„Hey, I take that personally.", she said.
„What If I am not going to be as good as you are" I asked, still crying a little.
„Hey, you Are going to be great mother. The fact that you worry so much, means, you are going to do a great job. The baby is very lucky to have you and Mark as it's parents.", she said and I hugged her again.
"Thank you Steff!", I said.
We said goodbye and I was in my way home.
When I arrived, Mark was sitting in the living room, chinking on the piano.
"Leni, You're back! I worried about you.", he said and hugged me.
"There is something, I need to talk to you about.", he said and smiled. I followed him to the couch and we sat down.
"My father called today and told me, that he and my mom decided to sell the lake house we own in Bavaria. I was pretty pissed, but I didn't know why, I mean, it's just a stupid lake house. But then it hit me. It was always my dream to take my kids, to take our kids there." He said and I smiled at him the whole time.
"And I finally realized, that I don't want to wait anymore. I know we decided to wait, but I wanna start our family. I wanna do it. Now.", he said and I gave him a soft smile.
"Well buddy, I've got some good news for you.", I said and Mark needed a few seconds until he realized, what was going on.
His eyes spread wide open.
"Wait, you're pregnant? Are we gonna have a Baby?", he asked and I nodded softly.
"We're gonna have a baby.", I said and he took me into his arms.
"I love you so much.", he said.
"I love you too." , I answered.
