Chapter 15 ~Stay

Catherine's P.O.V

It was over. My life was destroyed. Why? Why me? What did I do to deserve this.

Flashback
The abulance takes my dad away and I instantly run to my mom and dad's trailer. I auickly barge in and grab the keys to the car. I start thevengine. Jonathon was racing after me but before he could say a word I sped off. I drive quickly. Not the fast and furious but faster than how I usually drive. I get to Jackson Hospital and park not caring if the car was cricked. I race in the hospital and fibd my dad being rushed into the emergency room. My mom is crying on the ground. Somewhere deep I know she might be feeling worser than me. Her and my dad had a special connection. I race over to her and crouch down. "Mom , is dad okay"?! She doesn't answer I shake her more . "Mom, mom , please answer ,MOM"!!!! She finnaly croaks out "No  he... isin t " I sob and wonder how will Jonathan take this . I pick my up by her hands and take her to sit in the waiting room. I get a text message hence my phone vibrates in my pocket.

" Family of Michael swift ?!" I look up almost immediately. " Here "! Me and my mom say together. the doctor walks over to us . She takes off her glasses and clears her throught . The anxiety is eating me alive . " is my husband alright , come on say it"! My mom yells. " I'm sorry your dather has 6 minutes" she says sadly. " 6 minutes until what"? I ask. " how much he will live". I choke on my on breath and my mom drops to the floor sobbing. Why? " can we go see him" ? I choke out. " of course " she says smiling sipathecally . " room 34" she says. Me and my mom run there and I beat her. I nod at the door. " you first" I tell her. She nods and walks in. I wipe my tears away. If anything I know my dad hates seeing me cry. I slide my back down the green pastel and sigh pulling my hair. 3 mibutes pass . " your turn " my mom says sobbing and holding herself . I walk in but instantly start sobbing again. " Daddy" I sob . " hey shh  don't cry" he says wiping my tears qway. I don't know how he did it. He was in front of me dying yet he kept a smile. That's what I love about my dad. " look Cathy, life will get hard at some point you might want to quit, but dont keep fighting. You fought trough so many things in life it would be a shame if you quit now. I know , I know Jonathan might probably me confused but I'm begging you don't tell him anything " my dad says grasoing my thumb between his fingers meanwhile I continue to cry uncontrollably. " don't worry I won't" I say smiling. His eyes close and open and he says " I love you Catherine " " I love you too daddy and  I always will" I say sobbing . Then the long beep I never wanted to hear comes. The doctors rush in and I drop to the ground crying loudly.
