Guinevere was yelling and she knew it. She was mad and Riley didn't seem to mind. The pack had all been hanging out at Derek's loft on Saturday afternoon, Guinevere sitting on Derek's lap as he helped her study for a psychology exam while the rest of the pack was scattered around doing their own things. Then Scott showed up, looking tired and a little stressed out, which Stiles said was from working late shifts at the clinic all week to help cover for Deaton who was on vacation.
"We've got a new chimera in town." He announced. "Who's coming with me to meet them?"
"Oo. I wanna come." Guinevere spoke up, turning to look at Scott.
"Not this time, Guin."
"But I never get to come with you guys." She pouted, making Derek run a hand up her back comfortingly.
"That's because not everyone is friendly."
"If this one turns out to be trash, I'll leave."
"No, Guin."
"Oh, come on-"
"No!" Scott said loudly, a bit of alpha slipping into his tone and making Guinevere recoil with surprise, blinking up at him as everyone else looked at him like he had hit her.
"Don't yell at me." Guinevere said after a beat, voice level.
"Don't push me." Scott grumbled. Guinevere's eyes widened with surprise. The entire loft was dead silent and she swallowed thickly before looking around for her things.
"I'm going to get out of here before I say something I can't take back." She announced, grabbing her bag and jacket before heading for the door.
"Guinevere," Stiles tried.
"Don't." She stopped him. "I'll call you later." She said before sliding the door shut behind her and heading for her car. Her eyes were starting to water which was rude because she hadn't given them permission to do that. She climbed into her car and wiped her eyes before starting it up and heading for her house. Pulling into the driveway, she dialed Riley before heading into the house. Her dad was still at work and her mom had gone to lunch with a friend so she had the entire house to herself.
"Hey, G."
"I'm about to tell you a lot of shit, okay?"
"Do I need to come over?"
"Are you home?"
"Yeah."
"Then yes." Guinevere said as she tossed her bag onto the kitchen counter and continued up the stairs.
"You got it. I'll be over in five."
"I'm in my room."
"Love you bunches."
"Love you too." Guinevere hung up and jogged up the stairs to her room. She put her phone on mute and set it on her night stand before stripping out of her top and her leggings, heading for her shower. She had just stepped inside and drawn the curtain when Riley walked in.
"Okay, go." She said as she walked into Guinevere's bathroom and sat herself down on the closed toilet seat lid, a bag of chips in hand.
"I think I'm in a fight with one of my boyfriends." Guinevere announced.
"Say more right now."
"Okay, so I've been going out with seven and a half people for the last two months and it's been great. A wonderful, fantastic, big happy polyamorous relationship. Great."
"How do you go out with a half person?"
"My girlfriend Lydia has a boyfriend but I'm not dating her boyfriend."
