After Guinevere stopped crying, she stayed on the porch with Melissa for a while, sharing her blanket as they stared out at the yard and watched the fog lift. Eventually, they heard the door behind them open and Scott came out, fully dressed and holding his bike keys.
"Hey, I didn't even know you were awake. I thought you were still under Isaac." He greeted Guinevere, smiling and giving her a kiss.
"I got up a while ago." She said, wiping at her eyes a bit.
"You okay?" He asked her, tilting his head.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Where are you headed?"
"I have to open the clinic for Deaton. He got back yesterday but I still have the keys so I have to let him in."
"Can you give me a ride somewhere?"
"If you don't mind stopping by the clinic first."
"Let me grab my clothes." Guinevere moved out from under the blanket and headed inside, moving quietly as she went up to Scott's room and grabbed her clothes from the day before. When she came back out on the porch, Scott was sitting with his mom and hugging her as she laughed and wrapped him in the blanket, hugging him back. Guinevere hesitated before stepping outside but Scott had already heard her so it was pointless waiting.
"Ready?" He asked, smiling up at her as she grabbed her phone from where it had fallen.
"Yep."
"Oh, Guinevere." Melissa said as she snapped her fingers. "The pack is doing Thanksgiving at Derek's place tomorrow. You're more than welcome to come."
"I'll try and drop by." Guinevere nodded, smiling at the woman as Melissa squeezed her hand and smiled back.
"Wear helmets!" Melissa called after them, wrapping herself up in the blanket.
"Always." Scott grinned at her, pulling his helmet on and then making sure Guinevere's was on tight. Guinevere climbed onto the bike behind Scott, stuffing her clothes up her shirt so she could hold onto Scott. She texted Dallas as Scott started up the bike.
Guinevere
Breakfast at iHop?Scott's bike was a little smaller and way less trustworthy than Malia's but he loved it and Guinevere loved him for loving it so she held on tight and kept her eyes shut when it started to shudder beneath them. They made it to the clinic safely, a shorter bald man waiting out front for Scott.
"Hey Deaton. How was your vacation?" Scott asked as he climbed off the bike, Guinevere voting to wait outside while Scott went in for a minute.
"Relaxing. You ever been to Madrid?" The two disappeared inside and Guinevere checked her messages, her phone now at 10%. Dallas had replied right away.
Dallas
You know it. I'm bringing the alien. She tucked her phone away again and shivered slightly as she waited for Scott. She had forgotten to grab a hoodie or jacket before they left the house and riding the bike was cold in November. Scott came back out and she smiled. He gave her another kiss and she blinked happily.
"What was that for?"
"Do I need a reason?"
"Of course not. But it would be amusing to see what you come up with." Scott laughed.
"I'm proud of you. I think you're really strong and I wanted to kiss you." Guinevere smiled shyly, caught off guard by the sudden realness. "Now where am I dropping you off, little red?" He started calling her little red after she likened their relationship to Little Red Riding Hood and The Big Bad Wolf.
