I had just arrived at the beach on a Sunday. I looked around to catch a glimpse of the beach. A beach house with a large window grabbed my attention. On the opposite side of the window there was a black silhouette standing there.
I ignored it and walked over to a shady spot not too far from the house. There were not as many people as I thought that there would be. I started to walk along the sea shore, the tides seemed to be in high spirits or should I say the moon and the sun. A young man from the direction of the house ran towards me and asked “May I walk with you?” I smiled in return. We began to stroll down the beach as we started to talk.
Then he asked me a sudden question causing me to stop “May I know what your name is?”
“Aimee“
“Pretty name. Mine’s Jim.”
“Can I call you Jimmy?”
“Sure.” He replied and smiled.
I smiled and looked at him and behind the house. The silhouette was still there. I turned around and saw a person standing ten metres away from us. We continued to walk and talk about random things that he thinks of. We were now walking further and further away from the person who seemed to be on a solitude beach themselves.
We walked to the end of the coast and looked at the ocean flowing slowly and gently. The waves looked so blue, so deep and so rough with white caps however in reality they were so green, moving so slowly to the beach and collecting the sand as they went out again, crashing into rocks and overcoming waves, and returning to where they came from. The smell of the breeze that blew by flowed with the rhythm of the wave. It is such an amazing and refreshing moment.
“Aimee, let’s go back I have something to show you.” Jimmy interrupted.
“Oh okay, sure.” I replied with a smile.
Walking back to the place where we started there were quite a crowd of people not far away from us. Red and blue lights flashed onto the sand in front of us. There seemed to be a whole lot of different groups of people swimmers, campers, fishers and visitors.
