Start Of A New Beginning

Bloomington (PT. 2)

Sasha's POV
We sat in the café for what felt like hours catching up, we cracked a few jokes causing the both of us to burst out in laughter before leaving after a while. I forgot how much fun it was to be around April ( an old high school lover) "I'll see you later on tonight right?" April asked me and I nodded. "Yes, you will." I say before getting into the car and driving to the hotel. Once I got there I grabbed my laptop and began going through some business emails, I responded to some then emailed the marketing department's manager to make sure everything was going good.

Later on in the day
I got out the shower and looked in my bag and pulled out a dress and quickly slipped into it then went to the bathroom to apply some makeup and do my hair. Once I finished that I slipped into a pair of heels and grabbed my bag. I started putting my phone and some other things in there until there was a knock on the door. I walked over to the door and opened it to see April smiling at me. "You look stunning, ready to go?" She asked and I smiled as I took my bag and exited the room. "So where are we going?" I asked her. "It's a surprise." She said as she took my hand and led me down the stairs practically dragging me down every last one of them. "Relax or I might just fall down the stairs." I say to her and she lets out a nervous chuckle. "Sorry I'm just really excited for dinner." She said as we exited the building and headed to her car, she opened the door for me, I got in and she closed the door before heading over to the drivers seat. She started the drive to the restaurant, the whole ride was silent. I looked out the window admiring the houses and cars in the area. "Penny for your thoughts beautiful?" April asked and I simply shook my head. "It's nothing really I just like the view of the houses." I say. "Why not move to here? It's beautiful and I'm here too." She says and I just shake my head.

After another 25 minutes we reached the restaurant. "After you." April said as she held the door open for me. I walked in and she followed along behind me placing her arm around my waist as we walked to the  receptionist. "I have a reservation for two under the name April Ridge." She said and the guy checked the book before looking at us. "Ah yes right this way ladies." He said as he led us to a table. Once we sat down we began talking once more until the waitress approached them. "What can I start you ladies with drink wise?" She asked. "Well can I get a glass of wine and a glass of water please." April says and she nods before turning to me. "And what can I get you beautiful?" She asked. "I'll have the same as her, thank you." I say and she nods once more and walks away. "So how has life been treating you?" I ask April and she shrugs. "It's been alright, you know it's life." She says. "So how's working?" I ask once more she shrugs. "Surgeries have me busy almost everyday, what about you? How's wrestling and now being in the makeup world?" She asked. "Well wrestling it's hard itself and makeup it's a whole different story itself not to mention keeping everyone and thing in line." I say and she nods as the waitress returns with the drinks. "Can I get you ladies started on your meal?" She asked and April and I shared a look.

The whole time the waitress was gone barely looked at the food options all we did was talk. I picked up the menu and scanned through it until I saw something I liked. "May I get the fettuccine alfredo with a side of steamed broccoli?" I ask and she nods and writes it down before turning to April. "And for you?" She asked. "I'll take the steak with whatever side it comes with." April said and the waitress nodded before heading to the back.

After the dinner was over April drove me back to the hotel I was staying at. "Maybe we can have some fun before you leave town." She said as she looked me up and down. "If only I were divorced and didn't have a kid." I say with a smirk as I exited the car and made my way into the hotel and up to my room.
