Connor Kingsley had a little thing with sweets. He couldn't stop eating them. He would spend at least hundred dollars a month on them, and he tried to take care of this little addiction, but nothing really helped.
He was stood in line behind a pair of blondes, the man clutching the woman's arm as though her life depended on it while she stared at space. Ahead of them were a pair of bickering old women, talking with the cashier, that was busy with three funny colored hair teens.
Connor had a bad feeling that those three seemingly- trouble makers will be in his class, with his luck.
"Noel," the man in front of him said, turning to the woman, and to him. He was tall, with a pair of piercing blue eyes. His free hand was buried deep in his jeans' pocket. "Call Dad and tell him we are gonna take longer than we figured," he stated miserably.
"Okay," Noel's voice spoke softly. She fished out of her jeans pocket a phone full of cracks. She hit three numbers before DAD is offered to her, and she chooses it. "Hi dad," she said simply, "yeah. I'm with Leon." Leon, as Connor guessed, rolled his eyes, grabbing the phone.
"Dad, seriously?" he groaned, "you know I can take care of Noel," Connor was devastatingly bored, and quite honestly, he was still slightly hung over. Noel is Leon spelled backwards, Connor mused to himself.
"No, anyway, the lines here are ridiculously long- It might take us a while," he paused, the next he spoke his voice was laced with sarcasm, "yes, Father, I am well aware of the whole family arriving in five minutes but I am also aware it's your fault, that you decided to send us today."
"Tell him to not let anyone enter my room," Noel added, poking her brother.
"Aye," Leon commented, pushing Noel softly in front of him as the three teenagers left the line, hands full with bags. Leon caught Connor staring as he was about to turn. He nodded in recognition, although he clearly didn't know Connor. "Dad, Noel said that no one can enter her room," Leon turned to Noel, "he asks if he's allowed to," Noel nodded, "yeah, you can."
At that point, Connor started wondering how Noel looked. He imagined that along with her short blonde hair came a pair of dark green or brown eyes, and full dark red lips, because it seemed that teen-girls these days were certain that the best make up was dark lipstick.
Noel's face turned in different directions, and she suddenly caught a sight of something, "Leon, can I get Skittles?"
"What?" her brother asked, happy for the fact that he had distraction from his father's lecture, "yeah, sure. Hurry back though."
"Okay," she smiled, turning around. Connor was mildly surprised to see she seemed older than he figured, probably around the same age as her brother. Her eyes were blue, much like Leon's. Her lips were thin and pale, make up free, much like the rest of her face. Connor smirked at her shirt; Motor Head.
Leon was obviously no longer listening to his father, and suddenly he groaned. "Okay, Dad, bye."
Within few moments, Noel returned with dozen Skittles bags. "No, Noel," Leon instructed, as though he was talking to a child. "Once you start you can't stop, you can get three."
"Leon," she whined, walking past Connor. The two old ladies were done, at last.
"Fine," he gave up, once again putting his hand on the small of her back and guiding her so she was standing before him. "Put everything into bags," he stated, as the cashier started to pass things to Noel. Connor took a glance at his cart, it was full of Skittles M&M's, chocolate and lollipops. He knew he forgot something; Nutella. And cookies.
Oh, well.
"It'll be 149 dollars and 6 cents." The cashier said at last, and Noel grabbed some bags, while Leon handed the cashier a credit card. The cashier returned it, and he gave Noel a glance, so she took the credit card in his place, because his hands were full.
"Thanks, have a nice day," Leon announced, and as Noel waited for him to stop checking out the cashier, her eyes found Connor's. She smiled at him innocently, and he gave her half a smile.
With his luck, he sighed, she was the hottest girl in the school, and probably in his class as well. Damn his job.

Leon and Noel got seperated cakes; Until their 14th birthday they would always share a cake, until their grandmother surprised everyone and brought two cakes instead of the one she promised to get. Noel was probably the biggest Spongebob lover to ever walk this planet, so everyone knew to get her SpongeBob candles and SpongeBob cakes. Leon, on the other hand, had a variety of intrests, so it was fairly easy to choose him cakes. You could just grab a unicorn cake and he would still like it (mainly because his cakes were usually eaten by him and the twins' father, Victor, in less than twenty minutes so no one could remember what was on top of it).
Noel's birthday cake, unlike previous years, was finally perfect. Patrick Star was on top of it, vanilla words about Wumbo written around him. Leon's cake was, once again, with the symbol of the great Barcelona FC. He was all into soccer since he was a four year old, and as much as Noel respected his affection for sweaty man running after a ball, she sometimes really hated it,. For example, when she was napping and would scream in happiness as they scored a goal.
She really hated Messi sometimes.
And he wasn't even as hot as people said he was; Leon told her more than once that she thinks that just because he is relatively short, and that if he had some extra centimeters she would be head over hills for him. She liked better Suarez, and admitted on various occasions that Neymar is a very good looking man.
"Make a wish," Victor stated happily, as the two blew their candles.
"What did you ask?" Leon asked as everyone dug into the cakes. Noel smiled at him.
"If I tell you it won't come true," she stated simply, making him smirk while shaking his head. "What?"
"Dear older in half a minute sister," he sighed, "I heard half of your wish. It won't come true either way."
"Oh, yeah?" Noel asked, furrowing her eyebrows. "What's my wish then?"
"That a human Patrick Star would move to the house next to ours," he paused, "that's the half I heard, that's it." Noel sighed, and her father passed her a piece of cake.
"Thanks dad," she said while Victor passed Leon a piece of his cake.
"Happy birthday honey," Victor said, ruffling her blonde hair. He turned to Leon, "You're such an over grown baby, Leo. I can't believe the two of you are eighteen."
"Thanks dad," Leon rolled his eyes, before Victor laughed, hugging him.
"TO THE POOL!" Announced the seven year old blonde cousin of them, and all the kids ran to the pool.
"Feel free to enter the house from now on," Victor told his kids, kissing Noel's forehead. He walked away, muttering in disbelief about how old they were already and how long has it been since they were born. He didn't say anything else, but a shadow passed over his face before he started chatting with his mother.
"Race you to my room?" Leon offered to Noel, setting down Noel's plate that was empty now.
"How about mine?" Noel offered.
"It's on, ready?" And he ran, leaving his sister behind for a moment.
"Leon!" Noel whined, running after him. He laughed at her, surprised as he ran into something.
Into the wall.
"Damn it," he hissed.
