Noel's hand was clutched tightly in Greg's hand as he went on and on about how awesome his uncle is and dragged her across the lawns.

"Noel, are you even listening?"

"Yes," she replied, lying, and he kept talking right away.

"Hey Greg," a honey coated voice called, making Greg stop talking- at long last- and turn to a blonde girl (well, her hair was showing dark brown roots, but most of it was blonde).

"Oh, hey Nikki," he greeted casually, "so anyway, then my Uncle was like 'you've gotta be kidding me, Greggy. Motorhead kills Green Day,' and I'm staring at him like he's crazy and then--"

"Hold on Greg," the voice called once more, and Nikki chased the two. "Hey Natalia," Nikki greeted Noel, making her look at her like she was an idiot. Her name wasn't Natalia.

"Her name is Noel," Greg corrected. "By the way, have you seen Leon? He doesn't answer his phone."

"No, I didn't see him," Nikki smiled, "but I've been wondering, maybe you and me could--"

"Well, sorry, can we talk about it later?" Greg asked, "I just have to find Leon or... I mean, never mind. Tell him we're looking for him if you see him. Bye Nikki," Greg waved at her, pulling at Noel's hand.

"Why weren't you nice to her?" Noel wondered. He was always sweet around her.

"A, she wasn't nice to you," Greg started, "B. She's been trying to get me to go out with her since freshman year."

"Do you not like her?"

"Not really."

"Why?"

"I like someone else," Greg smiled, "anyway, so he wanted to have a wrestling match- you know, pin, count to three, winner is right, cuz that's how it works- when his girlfriend, who is only twenty eight and totally hot-"

"Could you not corrupt my sister's pure ears?" Leon grumbled, "my phone broke, sorry I left you with him for so long," Leon apologized, taking Noel's hand in his, making Greg release her.

The three started walking, "have you heard about the new teacher? This Connor guy? They say he's single and only twenty two."

"So?" Leon wondered.

"So, all the chicks are gonna be all over him."

"Why?"

"Yeah, he ain't that good looking," Leon agreed with his sister. "Maybe he is... you know," he mouthed something to Greg, but because Noel was too short she couldn't see what.

"Maybe he's what?" Noel asked.

"Nothing," Greg dismissed. "I don't think so, man. I saw him staring at Mrs. Way's."

"For real?"

"Yeah."

"I can see why."

"What are you talking about?" Noel whined.

"Nothing," the two harmonized. Noel sighed in annoyance, but kept following the two silently. They had a slight conversation in codes, making Noel understand around half of it.

"Wanna come over to my place?" Greg asked the pair, "I've got Five Nights At Freddy's."

"What is that?" Noel asked.

"Sorta horror game," Leon explained, "I say yes, but I gotta buy some stuff before. Any chance you taking Noel and I'll swing by in an hour, max?"

"Sure," Greg shrugged, "you cool with that plan, N?"
