"It's a boy! A boy!" laughter escaped everyones mouth at the news. Paris feels around the baby's body "Ten toes. Ten fingers. Two strong lungs." Paris chuckles with each announcement she makes. Paris calls out Elowen's name for her to bring the baby to his mother. Elowen couldn't help the huff of excitement as she held the baby boy in her arms for the briefest time before placing him to Maghra's chest.

"Hello....Hi" Maghra happily called out as she felt and heard her baby cry in her arms. bringing the baby up to her face, she placed a kiss to his face whilst a tear of happiness raced down her cheeks. However the happiness didn't last for long as Maghra felt something and grunts at the pain. Both Paris and Elowen faces instantly dropped as soon as they heard the shift in Maghra's tone. Elowen starts to question Maghra on what's wrong whilst Paris brings her hands back in between Maghra's legs and lets a squeal of surprise

"A little foot!...There's two! The second one is the wrong way around, Elowen bring the knife" Elowen flings out her hand to the near by table, feeling around for the knife to pass to Paris. "Maghra, I must bring him out quickly!" Maghra couldn't respond properly to Paris so she lets out a grunt to signal she heard.

"Breath in Maghra. Breath out" Elowen repeats these words as she goes back to wiping a cloth to her forehead. She places her other hand on the top Maghra's that's holding the baby, giving the occasional taps to it's back. It was like her mother instincts were kicking in and all she wanted to do was calm down the baby.

Once Paris was satisfied in knowing that Maghra was distracted with her breath, she started to focus on the task at hand. She tried to pull out as much of the baby as she could before bringing the knife to the umbilicord, cutting the connection between the mother and baby. Paris calls out Elowen's name to take the knife and place it back to its original place before grabbing on to the the legs sticking out. Paris gentle tugs the baby further towards her till the baby was fully out and its screams were mixing together with her brothers to create a new harmony to everyones ears.

In the background, thudding noises could be heard. Gradually getting quicker as time passes till it comes to a sudden stop. The ground underneath the 3 women gave a light tremble as loose pebbles bounced across the floor a few times. The only real distinctive noise was the cluster of wings flapping in the air as they flew off in different directions. However it didn't really catch anyones attention as the noises were drowned out by Maghra's screaming.

"Yes, yes. Oh, my god"  Paris rocks the baby in her arms, smiling to the new form of life. Elowen and Maghra both smile when the hear the cries of the new baby blending together with cries of her brother. " It's a girl this time" exclaims Paris, chuckling as she continues to sway the baby girl in her arms. Paris calls out Elowen's name to to help pass the baby girl to her mother and brother.

Elowen coo's at the baby once it's in her arms. "A boy and a girl. You have been blessed Maghra" She slowly places the baby on the other side of Maghra chest. Both babies curled up close to their mothers ears so she can hear every little thing about them. Maghra and Elowen both giggle at the joke Paris said of the the little girl being the last baby to come out.

Learning her head gently to both of the babies heads with a tired smile, she still couldn't stop the curiosity of what she heard earlier. "I heard the earth shaking.... did I imagine it"

"No, you didn't imagine it....I heard it too" Scrunching up her eyebrows, Elowen wasn't able to decipher what the sound was. Her mind instantly drifting off to scenarios where the rumbling was a result of the conflict between the Witchfinders and the Alkenny warriors. From there she started worrying if Wolfgang or Baba Voss was injured or in danger. She tried to push away these thoughts and be more present to the situation in the cave  "You know, Alkenny law says. The first name they hear you speak, should be the name of their father" Elowen smiles as she informs her friend on the Alkenny's way, her hands caressing her stomach as a smile dances on her face  "That way they will know it in the soft parts of their soul"

"Do not say Baba Voss" Paris quickly adds after hearing what Elowen said, further explaining the  law "It must be their true father....or harm will come"

Taking a deep breathe, Maghra prepares herself for what she's about to announce "Jerlamarel. Your father"  Tilting her head, Maghra repeats herself to the other baby. She tries to say the name as quietly as possible as if she was trying to hide this secret for a little bit longer but it didn't go as she planned

"Are you ready yet to tell us about him yet? ...About who he was?"

Maghra's voice cracks as she quickly responds to Paris "I told you!" she gulps. frustrated at Paris for bring up the topic but also knowing she's not going to be able to be able to withhold it for much longer. Finally coming to decision to to let it out and get the weight off her shoulder "He was a stranger.... I wandered from my village. I was lost in a blizzard"

Raising her voice in a mocking tone "That's not what the owls tell me!" Paris was getting tired of hearing the same response whenever she asks about the babies father. It didn't take long for Maghra to get offended by Paris's mocking so she whipped back. Demanding to know what exactly is it the owl say. Elowen could feeling tension growing between the two women. Paris's childish mocking and Maghra's shift in tone. It was almost as if she was challenging Paris to suggest another story.

Silence hung in the cave until it was broken by a weak hopeful voice "The warriors  are back"
