Prologue

Lance's POV

It's the day after my 20th birthday and I think i'm finally ready to tell Pidge and Hunk that I am in fact Bisexual. I know they'll accept me but, i'm nervous. I've never actually said the words aloud before. I figured today's a better day then ever since we're hanging out in the Holts Basement. 

I started making my way downstairs after Colleen let me in. From the top of the stairs I could hear Pidge talking to Hunk. 

"I still don't understand how you're dating my brother. It's gross." they had said 

Through his laughter Hunk replied, " It is not gross. I actually love him." 

Suddenly, I am very aware of my heartbeat. It is loud and fast and I think I may chicken out. Then the words fall out of my mouth. 

"Hey, I want to tell you guys something."

As they pause the game they were playing, I walk in front of the couch where they were seated. 

My hands are a nasty level of sweaty.  My heartbeat is still loud and unsteady. The next phrase that comes out of my mouth is almost incoherent, all the words are jumbled . 

"idon'tknowwhyi'msonervoussorrybutiam-"

Pidge cuts me off. "Lance how about taking a breath and trying again because I have no clue what you're trying to say."

I nod my head with low confidence a take a deep breath, it's still shaky. I try again 

"I was trying to say that this is harder for me than I expected it to be but, I wanted to tell you both that I'm... bisexual."

The words are out, started strong and ended the sentence with a whisper. After seconds of silence that felt like an eternity. 

I was hugged, it was a tight hug. the kind that makes you feel warm from the inside to the outside. 

hunk tells me to stop crying, I wipe my eyes. I didn't even realize I was. 

Pidge and Hunk reassure me. 

Pidge chimes in, "Please, why would we not accept you? We love you plus it was a little obvious you always check out everyone's ass when we go to the mall. You're not very subtle about it."

Hunk adds on, "Seriously, i'm Pan and Pidge is non-binary, we would never just stop being friends with you because of who you loved."

The hangout continued as usual with snacks, smiles, and games. Along with the occasional "do you think he's hot?" from Pidge. Initially I was answering very unenthusiastically with yeah, i guess, or nah.  And then a very tall, pale, and incredibly hot man popped uo on their screen. I am 98% sure I was drooling. 

Pidge got up and started walking upstairs. I think she's going to call Matt, I am still a blushing mess.

*pidge on the phone*

lucky me, it's ringing 

"Hey Pidgey, what do you need?" Matt answers 

"If you're still with Shiro and Keith, can you subtly ask Keith if he thinks lance is hot or cute or attractive in any way? I think they'd be a really cute couple."

"I have to agree with that, they would be a cute together. Luckily it won't be hard, Keith is saying he wants to try dating again."

" That's great! If he says anything let me know. we can set them up on a semi-blind date."

"Will do, see you at dinner genius."

Pidge returned to the couch where Hunk and lance were playing mario kart. Needless to say, Hunk was losing miserably. 

*Keith's POV* 

Matt is approaching me after his phone call. Obviously, i'm terrified. 

"Do you think he's attractive?"

My thoughts ran wild. I have no clue who i'm looking at but, he is GORGEOUS! Matt is showing me a beach photo and I swear it looks like the cover of a magazine. This "model" i'm looking at has tan skin with freckles dusted all over, he himself was not too close to the camera but, his eyes were a shade of blue that the ocean could not compete with.  I'm not one to judge bodies but this boys frame is... he isn't super buff but, it looks like he definitely works out and his hips I could go on forever. Just looking at this picture has me blushing hard, that is embarrassing, the blush intensifies. Oh no, i'm still with other people.

Matt interrupts my pre-panic. "i'll take that as a yes then."

after a few more seconds of silent recuperation I finally get the response out, "Uh, yeah." 

"Great, i'll tell Pidge, they think y'all would be a cute couple." Shiro pops his head around the corner, "who would be a cute couple?" 

"no do-" Matt cuts me off, "Pidge thinks Keith and Lance would be a good couple. I actually agree with my  demon sib on this one." 

O_o I AM DEAD, I HAVE DIED OF EMBARASSMENT

"I-  Actually, I could see that. What's the next part of the plan?" Shiro responds.

"Well, telling Pidge Keith's reaction to Lances beach pic." Matt says.

"Wait wait wait hold on. How have I never met him if you're both friends with him????" I ask very confused. 

Shiro's response is almost instant. "You don't ever want to do things when other people are involved. Pidge and Lance have been friends since Pre-K, he also happens to be on my roster for school. And No, you cannot have a peek at your schedule, they're not finalized."

"Alright, that's fair on the people part but, the schedule thing come on bro!" 

"No" says Shiro. 

(a/n) Hi I hope this got you interested. also this is an omegaverse. I am not the best at explaining it but I think it's fair to warn you all. The prologue itself is 919 words.
