"Expelliarmus!" I exclaimed and the wand flew out of Ron's hand and came flying towards me. My mind didn't work quick enough to even think of catching it so I just ducked so it wouldn't hit me.
"Good job Ken!" Ron spoke softly coming towards me. "I admit defeat."
"Yeah, you better! I'm becoming dangerous with a wand. Wouldn't come near me on a bad day!" I said to him flashing my teeth in the form of a grin. Ron only had time to reply with a smile as well before Harry caught the attention of the crowd.
"Great work today people! I am really hopeful this will work out in our favour! You'll get the date for our next meeting on your coins! Goodbye!" I hadn't seen Harry this happy since sometime last year.
"Well I'll be heading off!" I spoke handing Ron his wand I had picked up while Harry was talking. "Got some studying to do in Astronomy. Need all the time I can get!" A chuckle escapes my lips thinking of how I struggled to preform acceptable in Astronomy.
"'Course! I-uhm. I'll see you around!" Ron spoke awkwardly, fiddling with his hands not knowing where to put them. I tried not to look at his hands so I wouldn't make him aware that I'd noticed his unbelievable awkwardness.
"Bye Ron!" I smiled again and quietly exited the Room of Requirement along with the rest of the students who'd attended, but Ginny was the one right by my side.
"So, what do you say? Up for a game of wizards chess?" She spoke in almost a whisper nudging my side.
"Honestly wish I could, but I have to go the the library to get some studying done! Professor Sinistra has been on my neck this semester saying she knows I can do better, so I have to try and make her happy!" We had split of from the rest of the group and were walking in the direction of the library.
"Oh lord, I wish you luck! I'm gonna find someone else to play with then! Heard Dean Thomas might be interested!" She smirked and splitting from me, heading for the Great Hall.
The library wasn't far now, and I entered to see very few students inside. My feet carried me towards a lonely corner close to the section of books in Astronomy. Right away I knew I needed a book about Jupiter. Other than that I was clueless. Professor Sinistra had just mentioned something about Jupiter and its moons and I just latched onto that clue.
I spotted a book that could be of use, just out of reach. My stubbornness made me stand on my tippy toes trying to grab the book without using magic. But to my luck, Draco swooped in and swiftly pulled the book off its shelf handing it over to me.
"You know you're a witch right?" His smirk ever present on face.
"Witch? How rude!" I spoke, my voice dripping with sarcasm. He just rolled his eyes at me, his smirk still lingering.
"Yeah, yeah, I know!" He looked down at me, his ice grey eyes staring into mine with great care within. "Hey, where have you been all day? It's nearly two and I haven't seen you all day!" His voice was still chipper, but I saw his optimism slowly leave his body as a response to my facial expression.
"I've just been in my common room! Didn't feel like going anywhere today." I really hoped I sounded convincing. Even how much it pained me to keep the whole Dumbledore's Army a secret, I knew Draco couldn't know. It was sad to witness Draco being Umbridge's little lapdog. If she ever was to know about the meetings, she'd have our heads. To my surprise, it seemed like he did find it believable.
"Why? Is everything all right?" He sounded so worried.
"Yes, of course!" I shook my head to trivialise the whole thing, because truth be told, I had no clue what excuse to tell him to hide the meetings.
