Rein POV:

"Sugar n' spice"-

That man, Ezrah Brown, called me. And for the life of me, I can't get him out of my head, just because of his stupid and overpowering dominance.

Call me, naive, dumb, and whatever comes into your mind, but I want- no. Desire to see him again due to the fact that he made me feel something besides shyness and fear in the little amount of time we shared together in that excuse of socializing due to an error of mine.

You want to know what happened, don't you? Well, I'll tell you just because I don't know what possessed me to act like a ruffian-

***

"The name is Ezrah Brown, and yours?" he asked.

I knew I was staring into his beautiful eyes with an obvious and dumbstruck expression, but I couldn't bring myself to answer since I didn't know much about this stranger danger. So, I did the first thing that came to mind and that was to lie.

With an almost whisper I answered, "Reynold".

But his look darkened noticeably as if something I said was a crime of some sort and without my knowing, I cowered into a flee position releasing a small whimper because without my knowing I didn't want to disappoint him and make him displeased-

"Let's try again, shall we? But next time without the lying, hmm?", he stated.

"I'm sorry Sir, but you are a stranger danger, and I can't just simply trust you with my given name... what would happen if I told you and then I gave you my home avenue?? I-"

But before I could even finish my never-ending explanation he started chuckling and oh my- was it very much attractive with the deep rumble to it.

Bringing his rough yet big hand to his jaw he made an amused expression that brought me weak to my knees and without taking it from its place he talked.

"You are only giving me your name, pup. I can't do much with only a name, plus the last name that I won't let you tell me for now. As for the Stranger danger part- well, I'm dangerous in many ways but I can assure you pup that you'll enjoy them devilish ways. So, name.", he more than ordered.

Without more resistance, "I'm Rein, Sir...", I answered sheepishly.

His eyes brightened considerably, and he gave me a small smile.

"So, Rein, since you bumped into me in more ways than one, I won't have more choice than to ask you for your phone number so that you can make it up to me for making me late to a very important meeting," he said.

I couldn't believe this guy- like- HuH?

"Huh?"

"Okay. Since you don't seem convinced that I'm not dangerous in the criminal record department-"

He gave me a business card with a number, name, and the noticeable corporation's name that he works for.

"Here. You can look or call me with the information on this card so, I'll be waiting for you. This way it will all depend on your choice of wanting to see me again."

I looked up from the card with his information and asked.

"What makes you so sure that I'll definitely call or look for you?"

He looked down into my eyes and with a warm but sure smile.

"I for sure don't know if I'll be able to see you but I sure hope I do, because the way you look at me simply calls for what I need, and you desire."

Without another word from his beautiful lips, he stretches his arm towards me, making me shut my eyes from fear yet anticipation but what I feel next makes me tremble and moan. He pets and plays with my hair and walks confidently away as if he hadn't just made me want to be in his strong and safe embrace for me to take.

My voice becomes known, once he's just a blur in the distance with my hand reaching where he had touched and was still somehow tingly, leaving my lips in a needy whimper.

"Ezrah... Brown..."

***

It's been more than a week and I haven't gotten the bravery to contact him in the many ways he mentioned before walking away that day in the street.

My coworker can tell I'm worried about something, or maybe it's me trying g to cut inexistent strawberries on the cutting board with a faraway look because before I can come back on my own, he talks.

"Are you daydreaming again?"

I just give him a look of being caught. And I try to give him a reason for him not to hate me due to my inefficiency while on the job.

"I'm sorry Mikael."

"Look Rein, I know that you are thinking of someone that you like just because you give the lost and unsure puppy vibe. You are practically drooling on top of those cut strawberries."

Mikael and I have known each other for this past week, and I must say he's scarily perceptive. He gives loner vibes but has a heart of gold when u see past his cold exterior. He has black hair with a beautiful pair of hazel eyes, is lean but has some muscle on him compared to my lanky and feminine body, and obviously is taller than my 5'6 self with a 5'9 himself. He acts like a big brother even if we are almost the same age.

"Am I that obvious?", I ask.

He simply nods while working with a client's order. He finishes and then turns around and without more than a pointed look and a nudge of his head towards the door, he indicates for me to go after whoever is making me as he puts it "drool over the strawberries", I sigh.

"Mikael?"

"Yes, Rein?"

I blush and give him a small but reassuring smile before asking.

"Do you have someone you "drool over the strawberries" for?"

He just shakes his head and before I can ask what that means, he replies.

"Just go and talk to that person."

I give him a pout but I nod. I take my work apron off and get ready after taking my belongings out of the employees lock room and call to the contact number that I had saved no more than half a week ago.

It rings a few times but before I can change my mind about cutting the call a deep and rough voice answers it without any undeniable doubt of who it is.

"Sugar n' spice."
