"I mean, that is why we skipped for two days." He adds

"I don't know what you're talking about." She says before I connect my fist with her jaw

"Ms. Jensen, my office. Now!" VP Childs says
"At least you didn't kill her." Monty says with a smirk
*30 Minutes Later*
"What's the punishment?" Monty asks as I walk out of the front office
"Nothing. Sheri told them that she started it." I tell him

"Good morning, Ms. Jensen." The Bakers' lawyer says
"Morning." I say
"My name is Dennis Vasquez, representing Andrew and Olivia Baker, and this is a deposition. I'll be asking you questions, and you must answer them truthfully... unless your attorney clearly instructs you otherwise. Do you understand?" Dennis asks me
"Yes." I say
"There's no judge present, but this is a formal legal proceeding. You are under the same legal obligation to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Do you understand?" He asks
"Yes, I understand." I say
"Okay, good. Uh, for the record, please state your full name, your age, where you go to school, and what year you're in." He says
"My name is Rylee Amelia Jensen, I'm seventeen, and I'm a junior at Liberty High." I say
"When and where did you first meet Hannah Baker?" He asks
"I met her at Monet's shortly after she moved here." I say
"And how well did you know Hannah?" He asks
"Very well. We were best friends." I say as I glance over at Mrs. Baker
"Are you aware of anyone bullying Hannah?" He asks
"Dennis, we're going to object. That asks her to qualify behavior." My mom says
"Did you ever hear anyone say unkind things to Hannah?" He rephrases
"Yes, I did. It happened all the time. I defended her every time I heard or saw someone being mean to her." I say
-Later That Afternoon-
*Knock Knock*
I open the front door revealing Tony
"Clay's not here right now." I say
"I'm actually here to see you." Tony says
"Me? Why?" I ask before he pulls a thumb drive out of his jacket pocket
"Hannah wanted you to have this once the tapes reached the last person. Theirs an audio file on their for you. It's her goodbye to you." He says as he hands me the thumb drive
"Uh, thanks." I say before he nods his head and walks down the steps
I close the door before jogging up the stairs and into my room before my eyes fall on Monty causing me to jump
"Fuck, you scared the shit outta me." I say as he chuckles and I close my door
"Sorry, Shutterbug. My dad's on one." He tells me
"You could've just come through the front door like a normal person." I say as I sit down at my desk
"I saw you talking to Tony, I didn't wanna interrupt." He says as I slide the thumb drive in the USB port on my laptop before he walks over and pecks the top of my head and I push play
"Hi, Paparazzi!" Hannah's voice booms in my ears
"I'm sure by now you've heard about the tapes but fear not, Camera Girl, you are not one of my reasons why. Instead you were one of my biggest reasons why not. But eventually the reasons why outweighed the reasons why not." She says as tears form in my eyes
"I'm sorry for the pain you're going through. I'm sorry you lost Jeff and your baby boy. And I'm sorry I didn't tell you that Sheri knocked down the stop sign. And now I'm sorry that I'm leaving you." She says
"I'm so sorry, Camera Girl." She says as the tears fall from my eyes
"I hope one day you fall in love again and I hope someday someone falls in love with you again. You deserve that, Rylee. You deserve nothing but happiness. I love you, Camera Girl. And for the last time...'How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard'." She finishes
