chapter 06

Win was planning to talk to Team but when he got home, there's nothing but silence. There's no trace of Team. Usually, when he came home first, he would find Team sleeping in the living room, sleeping in the carpet while the tv was on. He tried finding his fiancé but to no avail.

Thinking that Team might be visiting his parents, Win just shrugged it off.

He can go home by himself, he's all grown.

It's been a week since Team got missing together with his parents. And it pisses Win off. He tried asking his parents but they told him that Team will be back.

What sort of vacation did that jerk have that they didn't want me to know?

He's on his way to pick up his girlfriend as Ploy asked him to accompany her to buy dresses.

Fuck it. Why can't i get him out of my mind?!

This past few days, Win noticed that he thinks of Team more than he should. Thinking what is he doing and is he eating alright. It's been bothering him as he's feeling something weird whenever he thinks of the younger.

"Hi, babe. What are you thinking?"

He looked up then saw Ploy in front of him. He didn't realize he reached his girfriend's classroom. He smiled when he saw how wide Ploy's smile is.

"Hi, looks like you're in a good mood, huh?"

"Yeah, you'll accompany me to buy dresses, anyway."

"Hmm, let's go?"

"Yup!"

They get out of the car as soon as Win was done parking, he can see Ploy's excitement as she cling her arm to his and giggle.

However, when he turned to look at the entrance, Win saw a familiar built of a man entering the mall with another man. They were laughing together and Win doesn't know why he suddenly felt a pang in his heart.

"Hey." Ploy nudged him "you okay?" , he doesn't know but he felt a strong urge to approach Team when he saw him but he restrain himself. Ploy wouldn't want to see that.

"Yes, of course. Let's go inside." he tried to smile, hoping that his girlfriend didn't saw Team.

He doesn't want her to get jealous.

"What about this?", Ploy asked as she showed Win a dress again.

"Come on, babe. You know you look good at anything you wear."

"Aw, that's so sweet of you, baby. But are you sure you're okay? you've been frowning since earlier at the entrance, you wanna go home?"

"Nah. Take your time, baby. I can wait.", at that, Ploy smiled at him which he returned with a fake one.

He sees Team earlier, entering the store where they are in. He's been observing him together with another guy, a little taller than Team. He did not pay attention to a pang of pain he felt seeing his fiancé together with another man.

"Hey babe, let's go?", he flinched when Ploy tapped his arm. He didn't notice her as he was busy staring at Team.

"Oh. Okay."

"When will you end my suffering, ai'Team?!", a man in disguise wailed causing the younger to roll his eyes.

"Come on, man. Don't be so dramatic, it's just been 30 minutes since we arrived."

"I told you i'll just buy you the whole mall so you can pick anything you want, anytime."

"You know it doesn't work that way. Besides, you're the one who insist to accompany me. I can go myself just fine.", Team argued as he continue to pick clothes.

"Nah, just take your time, i better suffer than to let you go alone."

"Then don't even complain."

"Rude." Team just laughed at the man's remark.

As Team continue to pick clothes, he can feel a pair of eyes staring at him. He saw him earlier. He pretended he didn't notice him 'cause he knew, it'll just hurt him seeing the man he love, being happy even without him.

As soon as he feel that Win and Ploy weren't there, he told the man he was with that he wanted to go home. Thankfully, the guy doesn't find it suspicious.

"Is this your house? It seems big for one person, don't your think?", says the guy when he saw the mansion in front of him.

"Hia Win's parents told us to live together."

"I see. Well, you're happy then? Wasn't he your first love? Is he treating you well?"

Team sighed remembering he's situation with his fiance. He doesn't want to lie to the man.

"Well, he isn't hurting me physically so don't worry. "

Sensing the younger's sad tone, the guy came up with a conclusion.

"He still can't remember you? I thought the doctor said that it's only temporary?"

The younger can't help but sigh once again.

"Hmm, its been years though. I'm starting to doubt what the doctor said."

Just when the man was about to respond, the door opens and revealed the blonde man and his girlfriend.

Seems like the guy who is with Team is the only one surprised when he saw who entered the mansion. A guy who is glaring daggers at him and a woman, clinging at Win like the blonde will disappear if she let go.

"Look who's here, my fiance who disappeared a week ago and didn't go home until now, and he has the face to bring a another man in the house that MY parents bought."

Win stated, sarcasm can be heard clearly in his tone. Team stared at him with his eyes wide and mouth gaping, surprised by the elder's behavior. Win was rude to him since the beginning, but it's different by how he acted just now. Team doesn't want to get his hope up but seems like the elder is jealous.

Team was hurt by the blonde's choice of words. He can also feel the anger radiating from the man beside him. He knows that if he weren't here, Win will be six feet under.

The nong wanted to tease his fiance to lift their mood, not minding what he feels but seeing the girl beside him, he just can't.

Instead, he replied, "Whatever. Let's go, Vee."

His voice lacking emotions.
