A/N: OI, MATES! I'M NOT DEAD! AIN'T THAT GOOD NEWS, WOT WOT!? *sips british tea like a british person* This chapter is going to suck, please forgive me.
Pyronica sat in the dark dungeon, tears dripping down her cheeks. The brunette prisoner sat on the opposite side, regarding her apprehensively. "So... what's with the, uh, mark...?" Dipper asked cautiously, pointing to a huge gash on the side of her face. Pyronica turned away, hurling a stone at his nose.
"Piss off. It's none of your business, anyway." She reached up and gingerly touched it, wincing. "Stupid Henchmaniacs," she mumbled.
"They did that to you?"
"I said piss off!"
"Sorry."
"They care about me, I know they do." Pyronica spoke into the darkness, avoiding looking at the brunette. "They just... get angry with me, sometimes."
"Angry enough to hit you?" Dipper questioned, raising an eyebrow.
He was tackled by Pyronica, who practically laid on top of him, her eyes suddenly furious. She spit at him. "Stupid meatsack! How dare you! Bill cares, I know he does!" There was an awkward silence, as their noses were inches apart, then Pyronica blushed, which made her cheeks turn green, punched him in the face, then stalked back over to her corner, glaring sullenly at him. Then she stared at her beat-up sneakers. "Bill took me in, when I had no one else left. He gave me a purpose. And no matter what, I'm sticking by him for that. My parents left. I was abandoned. No one wanted me. Except Bill."
She got starry-eyed at that, and turned green again. It hit Dipper like a flash. "You like him, don't you? You won't leave, because you want him to notice you. To be proud of you, and to see you more than a paw- I mean little sister." A/N: Notice me senpai comments intensify-
Instead of the customary rock, attack, or verbal abuse, Pyronica stared at the floor, nodding. "How the bloody hell am I supposed to get him to pay attention? The only time he does..." She touched the gash on her face, and winced, tears welling up in her eyes.
Dipper felt a surge of pity for the demon, and scooted closer, patting her awkwardly on the shoulder. Pat, pat. "There, there," he said uncomfortably. "It'll be ok."
The demon stared at the brunette, her face astonished. "Are you trying to comfort me, you stupid excuse for a lump of meat and bones?"
"Er... yes?"
"... Thanks."
They sat quietly, each taking comfort in the others presence. Scared, but not alone. They were damaged, badly damaged, but not beyond repair.
And then the door screeched open, flooding light into the darkness. They blinked their eyes, wincing at the sharp light.
A demon grabbed Dipper by the arm, yanking him roughly out of the prison. "H-hey!" Dipper protested, shooting a panicked look at Pyronica.
She sat there, without saying anything, her pink eyes unreadable, as her only ally was hauled away. Dipper could've sworn she mouthed sorry, right before he was yanked behind a corner.
