Chapter Fourteen, Valentine's Day

As the New Year turned into February bringing the day of the birth and therefore Mia's nesting period ever closer, Fred and the others had noticed Mia leaving the house in her Dragel form, no doubt scouting the gardens and surrounding lands for a suitable nesting area. At first they hadn't realised but as Mia was often frozen from the winter weather still clinging to the realm they had put two and two together.
"She's looking for somewhere to make her nest." Fred muttered nervously, as he, André, Blaise and Damon watched anxiously through the kitchen window; Dobby appearing at their elbow to watch with them occasionally.
"We shouldn't let her know we've noticed." André advised, but still he kept his worried eyes on the garden where Mia had long since disappeared.

"We should leave her to it and plan the best Valentine's Day for her." Blaise interjected, forcefully removing his eyes from the window.
"You're right." Damon sighed, but still he didn't move.
"Let's head to the living room at the front of the house so we're not tempted to stand here all day waiting for her return." André suggested, getting murmurs of agreement as the four men left the kitchen, levitating a tray after them along with a few other bits and pieces. As for Mia, she was scoping out the gardens and their grounds for a suitable place for a nest for the last few days. She'd been leaving at an hour a time, so the others didn't get suspicious, as far as she knew anyway. And today, she's finally found an abandoned fox den at the very edge of the garden hidden within a very large and very old cherry tree that stood behind the gazebo hiding the den from prying eyes.
