A/N
This is for Krista, who made me write the next chapter.
---------After running into Jay, who I had successfully been avoiding since we were approved to return to school, my day went pretty smoothly. If you call getting detention for smacking a bully with a toaster "smoothly. "
I had just walked into a cooking class, which I had only joined because of the free food, when Kate walked up to me. Kate was 5 foot 9 and thick, but she felt the need to make others feel bad about themselves. I've been back for 3 months, and she just now comes over to me. This was new.
"Hey, so I heard you liked girls." She stated loud enough for her small group if friends to hear.
"Yeah what about it?" I don't.
"You'll go to hell for that." Gaydar is sounding.
"Seriously, how's Narnia this time of the year?" I smirk at her, proud of my witty come back.
"What? Did you just reference a child's show?" She grows impatient so I just shrug and remove the toaster from the top cabinet so I could get started on out assignment.
Then, she makes the first move. She slaps me. Slapped. Do people still do that? I thought that was a five year old thing but apparently it can also be a seventeen year old thing. But her slapping me wasn't the most immature thing to happen. As retaliation for the slap I swing around fully intending to punch the bully. The problem was I was still holding to toaster.
So with a moments reasoning that I would prefer to break it on her face instead of dropping it to the floor with the same result, I hit her with a toaster.
So that is how I ended up sitting lacrosse from the principle Mr.Smith.
"So, miss Little," he began, "I would like you and miss Joan to tell me what you are in her for. Since I see miss Joan weekly, I'll allow her to speak first. Miss Joan?"
"I smacked her" she said it in a bored fashion.
"Miss Little?" Smith waited and I grew nervous.
"Uhm, I remastered her, sir." I said resisting the urge to studder.
One blink. I wait.
Two blinks. Still waiting."Excuse me? He asked me. "Well, miss Little, you have detention after school today. Miss Joan, yours is tomorrow."
