First Legend match

  Your cheek is burning and your leg is sore later that night. You're at the Paradise Lounge with Octavio Ajay and Gibby. "You really gave it toher back there brudda, I've never seen such a good fighter!" Gibraltar lets out a belly laugh. "You'll fit right in around here."

  "Bitch cut me good though." You rub your cheek. "Elliott! Get me another." You hold up a finger.

  "You got it." He slides you a glass and you catch it effortlessly.

  "Thanks." You toss him your currency card and he hands it back.

  "Legends drink for free, curtousy of the greatest legend. I-i-its me, guys." Everyone laughs at him.

  "Okay well I'll think of some way to pay you." You don't like people doing anything for you without returning the favor.

  "You ready for the match tomorrow compadre? You got a team yet? Me and Che are with Gibraltar here." Octavio turns to you.

  "There's a match tomorrow? Elliott do you have a team?"

  "Yeah, I'm with Hound and Anita. Don't worry though, if you don't have a squad they'll assign you one." Elliott replies. "But don't think I'll go easy on ya just coz you didn't get to pick your squad."

  "I don't need you to go easy on me, I could beat you with my eyes closed and one hand tied behind my back." You chuckle to him. "I know, as a token of my appreciation for the free drinks I'll go easy on YOU." Everyone shares a laugh and continues drinking into the early hours of the morning.

          Timeskip

  "Whast stime ids da mash tamarroo?" You ask completely wasted.

  "We gotta be on the dropship at six." Everyone but you and Elliott are gone. You look at the time. It's 0425. You have an hour and 35 minutes to be ready so you leave and you pass out right in front of your door.

  You wake up laying in your bed. You look at the time. 0615. You jump up amd begin running. You see the dropship taking off and run to the roof. "I can do this. I can do this." You get to the roof and jump off aiming at the dropship. You land on the roof with a thud.

         Wraith POV

  That idiot Y/N was up all night drinking and is gonna miss his first match. I can't say I'm surprised. Or disappointed. There's a thud on the roof and everyone looks arpund just in time to see the carrier door being forced open. And there's Y/N, hanging from one hand.

          Your POV

  Wraith looks disappointed to see you but everyone else is amazed, except Alexander and Revenant. "Figured since its my first match I'd make a grand entrance." You joked.

         Timeskip

  "Now arriving at world's edge." The announcer says.

  You stand and stretch then see banners above launch spots. You find yours to see Wraith and Crypto next to it. "Her?" Wraith looks to you then where you're standing.

  "Oh hell no-" she starts but is interrupted.

  "It's whacha get fuh not havin a team. Get on wicha self." Ajay snaps and wraith shuts up.

  The three of you step onto the platform as it lowers. "Lets go there." Wraith pings Fragment East. (RIP Capitol City 😢)

  "Who's jumpmaster?" You ask and immediately feel the yank as wraith jumps. You split off and go invisible until you land. (Fuck it you can go invisible while skydiving so Kairi is a GREAT teammate for you.) You land on top of one building and Elliott lands next to you as you grab a peacekeeper amd shoot him in the back of his head before slicing along his back, he gets downed and you feel energy around your body as ypur shield levels up. You finish him to regenerate your shield then take his heals. "Sorry buddy." You rechamber your PK and reload as you hear Anita running up the steps. She gets to the floor below you and uses the zipline so you activate your tactical and when you see her you slit her throat downing her instantly.

  "Invisible asshole." She says as you reappear causing you to laugh before placing a shot to her head. You loot her box and find an r-301 with a bruiser and level 2 mag.

  "Killed Hound." Wraith says over comms.

  "Good, I got Anita and Elliott. That's one squad out." She growled and cut off her comm. What's her problem. You though.

  "They got me." Crypto says and you look over to see him get sniped by Octavio.

  "I've got him." You start running at the building he's on top of dodging shots as you go. Ajay amd Makoa join him so you activate your tactical. You climb up next to them, you manage to knock Ajay and Octavio before they realize what's happening and Makoa opens fire, your tactical deactivates when you get hit and you finish him with your 301. "That's the whole squad. Am I good or what?" Crypto climbs up and shield swaps. Wraith must have rezzed him while you were fighting.

  "Thanks for taking them out so I could get rezzed." Crypto states. You simply nod. You toss him Octavio's sentinel with a marksman tempo hop up.

  "Does this mean I get to know your name?" I ask.

  "Watch it." Is his only response. You take the hint and drop the subject. Your team begins moving for overlook since you saw Revenant Watson and Pathfinder land there.

          Timeskip

  Crypto takes point in the tower and uses his drone. All three of them are inside the circle building so you approach from underneath as Wraith goes for a direct push. Crypto EMP'S them and that's your queue. You both go in and wraith immediately opens fire knocking Revenant and almost knocking Watson. You catch them by surprise since they didn't hear you coming and finish them off.

  "Even if you tried to kill me yesterday what kind of teammate would i be if I just left you there?" You rezz Wraith and she swings at your face.

  "Don't get cocky, or I'll actually kill you." She seems like she's just saying that but you don't wanna make her any angrier than she may already be.

  "Sorry, I was only joking."

  "It's fine, I deserved that." You're surprised by her sudden change of heart. Are you growing on her? She's not the nice type from what you've seen.

  "D-did you just say that? I thought you were supposed to be rude?" You respomd confused.

  "I usually am, so don't get used to me being nice. 1 more squad. It's Alex, Kairi, and Mary."

  "Firing." Crypto says over comms. "Downed one. Two. They got me."

  You and wraith run out to see a cloud of gas and all 3 back up as Kairi finishes Crypto. You yank wraith behind a wall and peak with your 301. You switch to single fore with your anvil receiver and let 3 shots ring, hitting them each once. Kairi activates her ultimate and the other two join. "Shit." You react before you think, pulling wraith tight against your body and activating your tactical as they fly passed you to the circle building. Once they're inside you release wraith and she punches you in the face.

  "What the hell?!" She almost screams.

  "S-sorry, I didn't want them to see us here. Let's sneak up and take em out." Before she can retort you hand her 2 frags. "On my signal toss these in and move for the kill once they detonate." You make your way to the top door and signal for her to attack from under. "Now." You hear 2 bangs and one person go down. You enter to see Wraith knock Mary and go down to gas. You activate your tactical so Alex doesn't see you. You sneak up behind him and stab him in the throat.

  "You are the apex Champions." The dropship arrives right outside your building.
