Wow! Hasn't things changed? Wait, where are my manners? Nice to meet you, I am Sophie Jasmine Fosterns and you are my diary? Journal? My only company? (I am a tad desperate for friends!)
I have started a diary/journal again, only 'coz my therapist recommended (actually commanded) me to start another journal, seeing as the one I had years ago seemed to have worked. "Soph, come downstairs,Holly is here!" screeched my mum, above her Gary Barlow CD. "Coming mum!" I frustratedly reply. Holly is here again? Has she no house of her own?
I walk (actually run) towards the spirally staircase. Should I take the lift or the stairs? We had a lift installed last year, so I will stop falling down the stairs! Cautiously, I ran down the stairs, making sure I don't miss any out, but in reality I actually came tumbling down it, hitting my head on the banister.
As I walk in I gave Holly a quick smile, "hey Holly."
"Mum, have you finished listening to Gary Barlow?" I was starting to get annoyed, listening to 'relight my fire'. "Oh sorry dear, did you want me to put on some One Direction?"she replied with a smirk, knowing my very straight forward answer...NO!!I was starting to get even annoyeder (if that is a word) at every one talking 'bout how One Direction are coming back to England soon. I do actually, I have to admit, like a few of there songs, which, compared to Holly's horrendous hate for them, isn't so bad! Anyway, as I slowly approached my much loved mother, I could tell show was hiding something, just by the expression on her face. "How dare you hide something from me, knowing I am your only daughter and the only child that wants to listen to your yatter chatter!" I suddenly blurted out, loosing control in what I was saying. She looked at me with a sort of shocked but knew-it-was-coming expression plastered across her face. To break the silence I could tell everyone was hating, I looked my mum in the eyes and studied her for a moment. How dare she hide something from me! My eyes slid across to Holly's and she met my gaze for a moment then almost spluttered in laughter. So she is in this as well then? Well, two can play that game! "Oh such a shame I must go and meet my boy- wait, sorry, my friend!" At that moment, my mum just told me everything from the expression stuck on her face."What was that? Boyfriend?" Ha, she was hating this! "What mum! Anyway, those were YOUR words NOT mine, so see ya!" "Darling, wait," she said, stopping me, " you need to tell me all about where you are going and who you are meeting up with, okay?" Why? Does she think I was born yesterday?. As I scanned the room my ears interlocked with a familiar tune. My phone. I walked over to the kitchen table and looked down at the caller's name. UGH! My friend Elle was calling, but why do people come to me when they have problems and when they are all happy they tell me to get lost?? I need to query that. "Listen mum," I begin, pretending to have somewhere to be, "I have really got to go, but you tell me what you are keeping from me and I will give you all the details, yeah?" She better not say no! I looked up and my mum was exchanging glances with Holly. "Fine, it was going to be a surprise, but since you can't wait and for your own safety, we are going to go on a trip to Italy this weekend! Yay! And now tell me where the hell you are going, young lady!" Wow, Italy! She is a bit fiery and well unsettled, today." Yay! And I guess Holly knew and I am not actually going anywhere and I just made that up, so you would tell me what you are hiding, um... YAY!" I said trying to sound happy and not sarcastic the way through. "Hmm, yes Holly was in it and you should know lying is wrong, so don't push it else you won't be going anywhere, young lady!" Why does she call me 'young lady'? "YAYYYYYYYY!" I shout as I leave the room. Ouch, my head still really hurts!
