"Dude, you can't still possibly believe vampires exist?"Ah vampires, they are your typical fantasy. The sharp and blindingly white teeth, sun-sensitive skin, usually unnaturally sexy for some reason.
People seem to love them - and for good reason.
Jungkook isn't an exception to this, but maybe...just maybe his obsession runs a little too far.
Jungkook is also your typical straight A goody-two shoes student. The fluffy black hair, skin dull since the boy never opens his damn curtains, oh and he's got pushy parents and a knack for letting emotional distress control his life.
There's only one problem...vampires aren't real. Everyone knows that. Well. Almost everyone.
And what does Yugyeom mean by that question! Of course he still believes in vampires!
Jungkook rolls his eyes, shutting his book abruptly, "Yeah next you'll tell me you don't believe in mermaids!"
Cut Jungkook some slack though, even just a little bit, he spends his days with his nose stuck in Uni essays and his little fantasy world is his only way out of it.
Yugyeom laughs, "I don't."
Jungkook dramatically huffs, "Well that's just stupid."
Yugyeom shrugs, "Well I'd probably believe you more if you said you met a vampire than if you got a boyfriend."
Rude.
Some may call Jungkook ridiculous, perhaps naive, some more downright insulting comments but come on, if there can be whales with horns, and whatever the fuck a giraffe is why can't there be vampires?
Yugyeom smiles, "Want me to 'think about what I've done' in the corner?"
"Yes."
Jungkook, half serious half playful, opens his book again.
"Aight, see you later then Kook, text me if you find your vampire boyfriend yeah?" Yugyeom remarks, sneering to himself afterwards.
Vampires do exist...Jungkook is sure of it even if his best friend doesn't believe him, and one day he will find one and uh...maybe he will keep it after that? He doesn't really know to be honest.
But he's gonna prove their existence! Gonna show everyone that these exceptionally sexy blood-sucking creatures are real! He hopes...
The bell rings, signifying the end of the tedious day so Jungkook starts to gather up his books. Shoving them all into his bag he starts to hurry home. Its a humid Thursday afternoon, the usual bustle of students crowding the streets as he meanders through them. His bag is heavy on his shoulders as he walks, mind full of thoughts there only to fill him with stress. As the mind does.
This happens every time he gets off the phone with his parents. The impromptu phone call last night had been playing on his mind all day and not even Yugyeom trying to force something other than his measly lunch of one apple into him had been a distraction.
It started off as normal. "Jungkook you're not working hard enough," his Father would drawl.
Then his Mother would interject herself into the conversation, "Just come home instead of wasting your time juggling part time jobs to pay rent. You're still being silly."
Nothing he did ever seemed to be good enough for them and it left a sour taste in his mouth he can't seem to rid himself of. They were off abroad somewhere and spent a good whole hour nagging at him...let's just say it sucked any energy he had conserved straight out of him.
