“Arthit, I wish you a good trip” Arthit let out a contented smile to Prem.
“Thank you Prem, same goes with you and Wad”
They bid their goodbyes. Arthit is nervous and excited at same time. For how many years of locking himself in his own circles, he finally escaped from his cage. He caged himself for a long time, thinking that it’s the best for him. He felt the aliveness again; he felt the excitement of waking up tomorrow for a new adventures that he will go through. He felt like he’s in his junior days again.
It was already evening when Arthit lands in Phuket. His luggage exhaust him more while walking in the exit door. He’s patiently standing there waiting for his service to arrive. While waiting, he scrolls to his phone to lessen his boredom. After a minutes of standing, a tall white guy waves on him, it’s the service rented by Prem arrives to pick up Arthit.
“Hi! I’m Aim, I’m the one who sent by Prem to be your service” Arthit smile and introduce himself. Aim helps Arthit to pick up his luggage.
Comfortable silence filled them. Arthit let his camera out, taking some night view photos inside the car. Every photos screams happiness, he smile while reviewing the photos. He takes at least five shots and will send it to Prem later for his friend to review.
“Oh nice shot, are you here for a wedding event or what? I often encounter some wedding photographer here” Aim said catching Arthit’s attention. Arthit straighten his seat and look at a guy beside him.
“Ah no, I’m here for someone” he said while shaking his head in disapproval.
“Oh really? Who? I’m living here for almost 2 years, maybe I know who are you looking for”
Arthit contemplating whether he will tell to this full stranger his real agenda. In the end, he thinks that it may help him to easily find the person he’s looking for.
“Well…” he scratches the back of his head and shyly asks the white-skinned man.
“If by chance, do you know someone named Kongpob Suthiluck? uhmm he’s also called ‘Great Photographer’”
Aim let out a soft chuckle that made Arthit confuse. Aim is so used to it. He often encounters wedding organizers or some media personals and accompany them but mostly it is always some Bangkok media who wanted to have an interview with Kongpob Suthiluck. He guess it right that Arthit is one of those.
“I do" Aim said enthusiastically that Arthit’s eyes grew wide.
"Really? Do you know his address? Are you close with him? Please give me some information about him” his tone is full of excitement.
“I want to see him, and can you please bring me to him?"
The eagerness of Arthit grew wider. The exhaustion he feels right now eases by the little ‘I do’ from Aim. It charges him for a second. He can’t believe that his adventure here in Phuket will be easy, Arthit thinks. He thought he’ll going to knock at every house here just to find Kongpob Suthiluck.
“Hang on Arthit, I’ll take you first to your house and then I’ll take you to him”
“Omyghad thank you Aim, omyghad I can’t believe this! Thank you so much”
“You’re welcome besides I often encounter some Bangkok citizens like you looking for him”
Arthit smiles fade, so it’s really not just him who attempts to have an appointment with Kongpob. Its just shows how big this person is. Arthit hooks up his cellphone. He checks the time. It’s already 7pm in the evening. Is Kongpob okay with a sudden appointment with a stranger from Bangkok? He left a soft sigh. Tiredness hits him again. One minute ago he wanted to meet Kongpob then a second later he suddenly felt tired. Hayyy this is so challenging and tiring at the same time, Arthit said mentally. He wants to rest but also he badly want to meet the said man already. Arthit slumps his back on the seat, closes his eyes to think.
