Sirius didn't return until a month had elapsed since his anger broke. His curiosity had returned to him and his 7 year old self had to understand the weaker bodied child he had no information about.
In hindsight, he wished to be friends with the child but Sirius would not figure that out until later on. Now, he just knew he needed to know about this mystery.
He strode into the odd park, but found the beginnings of a firepit and no child. Disheartened, he sat down on the swing for enough time to dream when the smell of fire woke him.
"Finally you show up. I was here for a good 2 hours waiting-." Sirius began grumpily to approach his junior and felt the air beneath his feet.
Heat rose to his face as tiny snickers nearby arose. Getting up and angrily taking small steps to the shrinking kid, he rallied his anger into a fist. Only stopping at the sight of sheer fear he saw in the kids eyes, causing guilt to begin to fester inside him. Fear he knew too well.
He plopped down a good distance from the scared young-in, not wanting to smell their strong odour.
Tense minutes pass until Sirius gave a sigh in admittance.
"It was pretty fitting, huh?" He smirked to the cautiously-confused blond.
"Just don't say anything to anybody, got it."
