I knew I was dreaming. I knew my body was writhing uncontrollably.  I must've fallen asleep on the ground because I could feel  hardness under me. I could feel sweat matting my hair to my forehead. I gave out a low groan and woke up. Darkness swallowed me almost instantly. Drugs, maybe.

Who knew?

The scent was murky. I could feel it as though it was actually there right under my nose. Random words floated around in my head.

Alabaster.

Shivers.

Blood.

Ice.

Con.

Theories.

Blood.

Knife.

Galloping.

Blood.

Heart.

Blood.

Blood.

Blood.

My mind started hurting and the woodsy smell around me downed to a mellow cedar and smoke. I had to get her. I had to hurt her. I had to see blood. Otherwise, I would drive myself crazy. I stand up. Everything around me was dark and it was impossible to see where I was. Then, I heard a girl's voice. But it wasn't her.

"H-help!" she screamed. "Help me!"

I heard moans of pain and muffled yells. What in the world was happening? I shifted around to grab something. Anything. My boots scraped against a swampy, muddy surface. I slipped and fell. My fingers curled on the ground, only to mound together watery substance.

"Blood?" I thought questioningly. "No. It's too thick."

The murky, smoky smell suddenly left my lungs and the scent of water hit my nose. Water. I was near water. There wasn't a salty feel to it so I was sure it wasn't the ocean. Lake? River?

The moaning increased and I knew someone around was in pain. I just didn't know where to look. I got to my feet and started moving towards the direction of the sound. I outstretched my arms into the air, hoping to find something.

My hands hit a smooth, cool metal surface. I suddenly knew very well where I was. The muddy ground. The water body. The car beneath my fingertips. The moaning and screaming. I gulped and wished for it all to go away. It was bad enough that I'd lived through this once. Doing this twice was worse than a nightmare.

Theresa's screams erupted into the air once more. I couldn't control my body as it lurched forward. It was as if someone else was controlling it. My hand automatically reached the door handle and I yanked it open. I pulled out a knife from the back of my boot and thrust it forward. A man's pained scream rang through the eerie silence. I pulled the knife out of his back and thrust it forward again. I stabbed him until I couldn't no longer hear his breathing. Blood had splattered all over my face and the back seat of the car.

A strange feeling washed through me. Relief? Satisfaction? Probably both. My tense shoulders relaxed and I breathed in the metallic smell of blood. Men like this deserved to die. Hunting on the weak, to prove their manliness to themselves. My nose scrunched up in disgust. My vision suddenly returned and my attention landed on the girl beneath the man wearing the bloodied rags of a shirt. She stared at me with wide, terrified eyes.

"C'mon Sam," I said. "Let's get you out of here."

She kept looking at me as I put my knife back into the back of my boot. I wiped some blood off my face with my arm. Her gaze suddenly landed on something behind me. I frowned and turned around to look at what it was when I felt the pain of a hundred knives stabbing my back. I fell on the ground, wheezing and groaning as the knives they had embedded in my back sank deeper and harder. The last thing I saw was the cheerleading team staring at me, laughing and clapping amongst themselves. My eyes teared up as the pain built up.

I woke up screaming and panting again. After I took in my surroundings, I groaned and held my head in my palms. This was driving me crazy. I had to get this nightmare over with. And it would only end when I finished slaughtering them. They had to die. I couldn't put up with this anymore.

I had saved Samantha from a gruesome fate but the cheerleading team had still found a way to betray me. I couldn't let them go now. They all carried a secret of mine with them. A secret that could destroy my future. A secret that could destroy my world.

My mind floated around and landed on a tan face. Her yellow eyes caused me just as much pain as the knives from my nightmare. That was it. She was going to get it. I had to kill her.

"Watch out, Emily. You're next," I whispered.
