Sin city, one of the largest metropolis in the whole country, one you can find towering modern buildings stretches all over the city, sadly despite the glorious looking and virtually perfect living condition, the lives in this city itself are no better than some third rate drug-infested city, perhaps even worse, at least in those cities, the everyday living citizen doesn't have to fear for their lives, not in this city, unfortunately, you never know when death is going to come for you, perhaps there's no better way to describe the city other than the name itself, in fact, there seems to be no better name for this city, "Sin City", the city itself literally represents the sins of humanity, greed, lust, rage, wrath, sloth. whatever you name it, you can find it, to the outsider ignorant eyes, the eye-blinding neon lights and the impossibly high skyscrapers might be a sight to behold, makes people wonder how they could build such a beautiful city, but to the resident of the city, all these grandiose sights is nothing sort of farce, if nothing, it's the source of their fear, the fear of being oppressed in their own city, the fear of losing their lives every day, each and every resident in sin city clearly understand that they are nothing more than a tool for the rich and powerful men and women atop these gargantuan tower built by pilling corpses, literally, in fact, the whole city is sustained by the lives of the poor bottom feeder living every day trying to survive feeding on scrapes of the riches, and in turn the city itself devours unlucky souls, feeding itself into an even large one.

Though as tragic as it might seems, the city certainly have no short of people willing to rebel against it, one of them of course is our heroine, "Jane", Jane is a detective living in western part of the city, like anyone who have seen much of the city, she can be cold and apathetic, there are times she left defendless people to fend for themself, yet sometimes she swoops in to help victims of crimes, why?, Even herself don't know why, perhaps she is tired, tired of rebelling against the city, against the seemingly untouchable people controlling this city, but deep inside there's always a little spark, a calling for her to fight, fight again the people who wronged her, fight the people that oppressed the poor, yet now adays that tiny spark is nothing, not even enough to make her do anything like she did before, it's like the incident itself killed some part of herself, no doubt she is just a shadow of her past now, no longer the fearless and righteous journalist as she were before, before everything falls apart, once she too lives in one of the tall building in the central city, back then she too had a successful career, despite being orphaned at young age, young jane fight on living the lives of the street before being adopted by her adopted mother, with her resilience and hard work eventually she became a famous and highly respected journalist, earning praises and recognition left and right, however, even then she never forgotten her dream, and not just any dream, she dream of changing this city, by taking down the corrupted officials and rich people controlling the city, through her journalist way, thorough her entire career she exposed the crime that many of the high profile officials commits, making names and enemies for herself along the way, with things going smooth and every cases bring her closer to her goals, probably that's when she dropped her guard, becoming too proud of herself, firmly believe that she could do anything. She tried to expose the corrupted governor, trying to reveal what he really is to the public, never did she thought that it's the greatest mistake in her career, soon she realize just how naive she was, thinking that a mere journalist like she is can go against the most powerful man in the city, it was at that point everything around her falls apart, friends, career, money, she ends up losing all of that, this incident leaves her deeply devastated, how can she not, being betrayed by her close friend after losing all of that is bad enough, still having sentenced to jail and her career revoked is what really breaks her, nothing can describe the humiliation and guilt in her heart, having worry and disappointed her mother, it was at this point of time she changed, no longer as kind, as trusting nor as ambitious, maybe she even becomes a little like the people who betrayed her, calculative and manipulative, it's like a part of her was killed by the incident itself,
