"You asked for us?"

I queried as soon as I stepped into Mother Alpha's room along with Jayde.

Mother Alpha, who seemed to be reading a book while a pile of more books was sitting on the table across where she was seated.

When my question reached her senses, she raised her head and nodded before indicating both of us to take seats on the sofa across her table.

"The girl we are suspecting to be lycan..."

Our backs straightened as we both leaned forward in our seats at mention of word 'lycan'.

"Her name is Bella Steward. She is from psychology department."

She disclosed the information that she very likely got after looking into Jungkook's memory.

"Jayde, I want you to instantly investigate about her. I need every possible information you can get. And assign someone to keep an eye on her. What she does, where she goes, we need to know every single detail about her."

Jayde, to whom her command was directed, responded with a firm nod and stood up to leave.

"Don't forget that your safety comes first. Don't reveal yourself to anyone, not even your closest friends...."

Mother Alpha reminded him with a worried tone to which he did an assuring nod before leaving the room.

Now, it was me and Mother Alpha.

Her eyes fell back on the book, she had been holding in her hand ever since.

My eyes wandered at her face, waiting for the task, she had for me.

But strangely, there was something bothering about her body language. While Jayde was here, she seemed normal but as soon as he left, I could feel uneasiness in her aura. Her face held glimpses of worry and stress, which raised concern in me.

"What happened Mother Alpha? Is there anything bothering you?"

She raised her eyes and as soon as our eyes met, she let out a sigh.

She closed the book and placed it on the table along with others.

I could feel a rush of blood in my whole body as feeling of panic took over me. I could literally tell that she had no good news for me.

"Till now, lycans have appeared twice around Agnes and Jungkook. And it has been few days, since I gave the stone to Agnes and soon after it started turning green. I am afraid lycans didn't appear just now. They have been lingering around for quite a while now. It is us who were late to catch on...."

Her words held nothing but a frightening truth. Cause I had same thought in my head after the incident today.

"I thought it started with Agnes's scent which appeared after she turned eighteen but It seems like they were always there around her without us being aware. And I assume same is the case with Jungkook cause how his wolf had been acting since you moved to States and even back in Korea, his wolf might have sensed the danger..."

With every word she said, I could feel shivers down my spine. Even the thought of those monsters around my family, would give me goosebumps.

I never expected that they had been conspiring this long to just get their hands on these two kids.

"And if it is true, I doubt the girl from today is not the one we are looking for. Cause from what I saw in Jungkook's memory, Agnes didn't seem to know that girl. And from how much I know about Agnes, she barely have friends in other departments because her brother is always keeping an eye on her. That's why she can rarely leave her department."
