Chapter 7

"Just let me drive, bitch." Dalton started, "he gave me the keys, man." He finished.

"Yeah cause he think I'm the one who stole the car." Nick paused "and crashed it" he added.

"Whatever, man. You didn't have to cover for me, dude." Dalton told him.

"Yeah well atleast he was nice enough to tell me the truth." Kylie spat at dalton.

"Ugh. I said I'm sorry, ok? I'm sorry." Dalton told me.

"I know and I forgive you." I said shrugging nonchalantly.

"Hey. Your jackets clean right? Mines already got plenty of stains on it. One mores not gonna make a difference." Nick told him.

"Where the hell is this place? Towns not even on the GPS." Nick said looking at the GPS.

"Weird." Kylie furrows her eyebrows, looking at it.

"So, do you think Carly and Wade are gonna stay together when she goes to New York?" Dalton asks the couple.

Kylie rolls her eyes, knowing where he was going with this.

"Cause she be lookin' at me sometimes like..." he continues.

"Dalton, it ain't happening." She tells him.

"And even if it was happening. It ain't happening. Nothing personal, man." Nick said shaking his head.

"Why? You like me better than Wade, right?" Dalton asks him.

"Wades not so bad." Nick said, shrugging nonchalantly.

"Yeah I like Wade too..." Dalton agreed.

She smiles and laughs under her breath.

They pull up to a part of the road that's all washed out.

"This it?" She asks no one in particular.

"Yeah... yeah this is it." Nick says.

"Well... should we drive through it? You think?" Dalton asked them.

"Through all that?" Kylie raises her eyebrows.

"Well, Yeah. I could do it." He says confidently.

Nick hands him the keys but he doesn't move.

"That what I thought" Nick said, grabbing kylies hand and helping her over the water.
