Sam, Amy and Cas sat on the beds, watching as Dean and the Doctor had an argument over aliens. Sam couldn't help but chuckle at his brother, noticing the confusion and frustration on his face. Dean wanted to be right but Sam knew the Doctor was talking about the truth. Sam had always believed aliens were real, his brother not so much.
"Look, Dean, like I said before, I'm an alien." The Doctor said.
"Where's your green skin and weird, slightly disturbing, face?" Dean countered.
"That's a stereotype. Only one race actually looks like what you think they look like." The Doctor crossed his arms, "Most aliens are quite scary to humans."
"Scary? The creatures we hunt are terrifying and I don't even shiver. I've never been scared." Dean snapped.
"Except once when you screamed at a cat." Sam chuckled.
"That was once, and I was sick with a ghost illness that could've killed me. Cut me some slack." Dean frowned at his brother, earning himself another chuckle.
Everyone in the room laughed. It then fell silent and Cas got up from where he sat.
"I see we have made an alliance? Maybe they can help us on our current case." He suggested.
Sam and Dean exchanged a look before looking at The Doctor expectantly. The time lord looked thoughtful before he looked over at Amy. She nodded at him, a small smile on her face.
"I guess we can stay for a couple nights." He said, "But I call dibs." And with that he rushed over to Dean's bed and flopped on it.
"Ergh, that's my-" Dean was cut off by Cas putting his hand up,gesturing for him to be quiet.
He just watched awkwardly as the Doctor sprawled himself on the mattress and let out a happy sigh. Sam looked at Amy and offered her his bed. She refused, wanting him to have the bed and get a full night's rest. She'd sleep on the armchair while Dean would sleep on the floor. Within an hour or so, everyone were in their sleeping spots, looking up at Castiel. There was a sound like wings flapping and he disappeared once again. They woke up that morning to a loud thumping on the door. Dean cussed under his breath as he got up from the floor and walked over to the door. Rubbing his eyes as he opened it, he blinked against the bright sunlight. The man outside was wearing a smart sandy-coloured suit with a checkered tie. He smiled kindly at Dean. His eyes then passed him towards the others who were all half awake.
"I didn't know you'd have visitors." The man said, "Anyway, you hitting the road or you staying for a few more nights? If you're staying, pay up."
Dean just stared at him for a long moment before looking at the others. His gaze traveled back to the man and he just nodded, "We'll be staying for a few more nights. One sec, let me get my money." He walked over to his jacket, which hung from a coat hook in the wall, grabbed his wallet and gave the motel owner the money.
"Thanks, have a nice day." The man walked away while Dean shut the door.
He hung his jacket on the hook and sighed before laying back on the ground. He murmured something inaudible and fell right back into sleep, face buried in his pillow. Sam looked at his brother, rolling his eyes. He grabbed one of his own pillows and hauled it at his brother's head. Dean shot up and glared at Sam.
"Wake up! The monster isn't going to hunt itself." Sam said with a frown as he got to his feet.
He walked to the door of the bathroom and entered it. Dean frowned before rubbing his cheek gently, trying to get feeling back into it because for some reason it was numb. The Doctor shuffled to the end of the bed and sat cross-legged, almost as if he were a four year old waiting to be told a fairy tale. They were silent until Sam came back, plaid shirt and jeans with his hair brushed.
"What do you think it is?" The Doctor asked the Winchesters.
"We don't know. People say it's a metal man, we have never witnessed anything like this." Sam said causing the Doctor to freeze and a stoic expression to appear on his face, "What?"
"Cyber men." The Doctor muttered.
"That's a good name! Thanks, Doc." Dean said.
"No, no. They are an alien race of cyborgs called Cyber men. They aren't good, we need to get you out of here. It's too dangerous!" The Doctor exclaimed.
"We're not leaving." Dean said firmly, "We need to hunt this thing down and kill it before it kills another innocent person."
The Doctor's jaw set in frustration before he got to his feet and sighed. He began to pace, thoughts and worries filling his mind. Sam frowned before looking over at Amy who seemed quite calm. She caught his gaze and shrugged. The Doctor stopped pacing and turned to look at the brothers, who now stood beside eachother.
"Fine but if you get hurt, it's on you." The Doctor finally said after a long pause, "Where's Castiel?"
"Probably helping random citizens of the town, no idea." Sam suggested before shrugging, "We don't actually know what he gets up to."
Dean nodded at his brother then looked back at the Doctor, who looked thoughtful. Then the Doctor gulped and smiled.
"I guess we need to get this hunt started."
