chapter 2-Moved in

it has been two weeks and i have successfully moved everything into the house and i'm finally throwing away the last box in to the trash. thank god. it feels sorta like how it was when i moved to my aunts house back in oklahoma after the accident. Trying to make it feel like home but all you can think about is how it's not the same. I miss my parents tremendously and i wish they could see me achieve our biggest goal since i was a little girl.

my parents have always wanted me to go to a 4 year college and graduate at the highest of my classes because unfortunately, my parents had me at a young age and weren't able to go to college and support a kid like me.

by the way, my name is jade and i am 19 years old. i'm from north carolina and i moved to oklahoma to live with my grandma after my parents passed away..they died in a terrible car accident. it was 3 years now but it feels like yesterday.

enough about my sad life and back to why i'm moving in with strangers and moved all the way to missouri. yea i know..who lives in missouri? but they had one of the top 10 best colleges. i applied and wrote my essay. 2 months later and i got a phone call letting me know that the dean wanted to meet next.

i never really had money during my life. so the dean offered me a full ride scholarship. i did have to pay for living so i need a job but my parents would be so proud.

now you know why and where i am.

it was getting close to dinner time and i could feel myself getting hungry as my stomach was screaming at me to eat.

"hey jade, ryan and i are going to a party tonight and we wanted to invite you" sarah asked.
i sighed before answering, "thank you for asking but i have so much to do before school starts on monday"
ryan walked in to the living room and began " jade, you really need to get out of the house, it's saturday you have sunday to get ready for school. let's go out and have fun before our lives our over"
i sigh, thinking if this is a good idea.
i giggle " ok fine guys" "let's go"

time:9:00 pm

we walk into a party with music that makes the walls shake. everyone is either drunk or almost drunk. i'm not a big drinker but sometimes i don't mind some wine. but this party doesn't seem like there is any wine.
i laugh at my own thoughts.

"what's so funny?" sarah asked while bumping into some guy.
"hey watch out" the guy said.
" um you bumped into me so you watch out" sarah retorted.
"oh hey" the guy nervously laughed, "my bad, my names nick. yours?"
sarah giggled " sarah, nice to meet you" she answers as she reached her hand out.
"oh my god" i mumbled while rolling my eyes.
"hey you brunette, what's your name?"
he was looking at me but i still looked behind myself to make sure.
"m..me?"
"hah yea you" he laughed
"jade, my name is jade"

that's when i saw him.
