Chapter 3-The Party

it felt like the music stopped and everyone around us froze.
his dark amber eyes burned into my bright blue eyes.
he just stared, he didn't stop until i looked away. as soon as i looked away the music came back into effect and everyone started to dance again. it felt like time froze.

sarah was off talking to nick and i was just alone trying not to look at this stranger who made my world freeze.

I felt his eyes burning holes into the side
of my head. As soon as we made eye contact he started walking towards me. Right before he made it to me he turned and walked up to nick.

'ugh what? that was rude..
sarah wasn't even looking at him she was just looking at nick. it was cute.'

just then nick looked at me and then he looked at me. So i knew they were talking about me.
nick leaned in and whispered something into sarah's ear.
after speaking with sarah he went back to the stranger, then we locked eyes again. As soon as he saw me looking he came over to me.

he put his arms above my head and leaned into my ear.
my heart was racing and i began to hold
my breath.
"jade" he huskily whispered.
"wh-what" i stuttered.
he paused while looking me up and down and then walked away.
'he walked away!?!'
i let out a breath i didn't know i was holding in. i could still smell him around me. god what just happened.

As soon as I came back into reality, I marched over to Sarah and pulled her arm.

"Hey, what's up with you?" "Ouch your hurting my arm" 

"Oh I'm sorry" I released her arm and gently rubbed it.

" I just need to get out of here. I don't know what's going on and I don't really like it. I think it would just be best if i headed home, you can stay l'll walk"

Sarah sighed while looking back at Nick..
"Nick and I were having a lot of fun. Are you sure you can walk home? I don't know how I feel about you going alone"

"No I'm fine, I can walk" I agreed with myself, sorta.

"Ok well just text me when you get home ok, be carful" sarah yelled while I walked away.

I wasn't mad that she didn't want to go with me but I was a little nervous to walk home by myself.

I started making my way up the stairs to use the bathroom before I left when I bumped into something hard, or someone. And yes, I was right. I look up and see those burning amber eyes staring down at me.

"O-oh I'm sorry, I didn't kn-know someone was walking down. I'm sorry" I stuttered nervously. Just his gaze alone sends such an odd feeling down to my core. My heart was beating out of my chest waiting for him to say anything, just something. I needed to here that voice again but I had a feeling it was never coming.

His mouth opened, then closed. Right when he was about to say something a bunch of drunk guys walked passed us and ruined the moment.

'Really?? Come on..he was just about to speak. God I want him to speak'

"I'm sorry" I said awkwardly while trying to walk away.

And just like I predicted he didn't say anything, not even a 'hello' or 'how are you'. He just let me walk away.
Ugh and why do I care so much?

After using the bathroom I was heading to the door when Nick came up to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I slowly turned my head to see Sarah walking up with drinks in her hand.

"Hey jade, I guess you decided to stay after all" he smirked at me.

While I lifted his arm off of me I turned toward him.

"Yea, I had to use the bathroom. I was thinking about looking for someone to drive me since walking home at like 12:30 in the morning isn't the best idea."

"Yeaaa jaadeee I don'tttt thinkk it's the beeest ideaa" sarah slurred.

'Wow she got drunk while I was gone for how long?'
I laughed at my own thoughts.

"Sarah you wanna head home with me, it's getting late anyways" I asked while looking around.

"Speaking of, have you seen Ryan? I haven't seen him since we got here" I questionably asked. I was kinda worried.

"Oh sarah said he left with some guy and said he wouldn't be home..for awhile" nick said kindly since Sarah wasn't paying any attention.

"Oh ok" I breathed out.
I was worried for a sec.

"Ok well I'm gonna just walk, I'm way to tired to stay here any longer" i huffed.

"Are you sure, I can drive you" nick offered.

"No it's ok, thank you though. I'm good" I smiled nervously.

"She's coming with me" he huskily said.

THANK YOU GUYS!! I hope this chapter was better and longer. I'm working on how long I should make them. My goal is about 1000 words.
This chapter was around 800 so I'm getting there.
