POV Bronwyn It's been 5 and a half months since I've spoken to Nate. It's killing me but I asked for space and now I don't know hot to undo it. Mauve is better, cancer free, recovering well. But for a minute I thought I'd lost her. I want to talk to Nate but I don't know how. At school I need a brake from physics so I ask to go to the restroom, I just sit in the stairwell. I hear a door open one floor above me and footsteps coming down the stairs towards me. Without looking I shift over to the left out of their way. I see them looking at me as they pass and realise it's Nate. We make eye contact but he looks away and carry's on walking. "Nate" I blurt out. He stops and turns to look at me. "Hey, I'm sorry I haven't spoken to you-" "Don't apologise." He interrupts "you needed time with your family. How is mauve?" He asks. My heart melts. "She's- she's cancer free" he smiles "recovering, getting stronger every day" "That's good. I'm glad" he says "Yeah me too." It's silent for a second. "So..." I trail off not knowing what on earth to say. "Are you asking for a movie date tonight?" He says reaching out for my hand. I take it and he pulls me up so we're both standing. I smile and kiss him softly on the lips "I would love that" he smiles back and slowly starts to back away "ok. I'll talk to you later" he opens the door out of the stairwell "Bye" I say and he walks out. I sit back down on the stairs. This time I pull out my phone to text Mauve. Hey, how are you feeling? Are you going to be ok on your own for a bit tonight? I have a date with NATE!! It's a matter of seconds before she responds of course I'll be fine for a few hours. And I'm feeling fine. See you later! I smile and head back to class. Minutes after I sit down the bell rings and the whole class stands up. I grab my stuff and work my way out of the door. I see addy on my way out and ask her if she wants to hang out with me and Mauve while I get ready for my date. I drive addy and myself back to my house and we all are hanging out in my room. Addy's doing my make up and Mauve is trying to pick out an outfit. Eventually we all settle on a black skirt with a plaid jacket and knee high boots Going for this look (W/o bag)

I looked at the time on my phone and stuffed it in my pocket. I stroked Mauves head on my way past "bye guys, see you tonight later" I ran down stairs and jumped in my car. I sit in the movie theatre parking lot applying lip gloss when I see Nate standing a few feet in front of my car cautiously waving. I put the cap back on the tube of lipgloss and get out my car and head over to him. We start walking over in silence. It's not until we're halfway across the parking lot when I realise my phone is missing. I stuck my hands in my pockets "crap! I forgot my phone. Wait here" I say walking back over to my car...-
