"Come on, Dipper, we gotta get going if we're going to reach the mountain in time for lunch," you call from the door, Ford's coat already wrapped around your shoulders.
"Coming!" Dipper calls from his room, appearing a few moments later as he adjusts his hat on his head, scampering up to you.
"Ready to go on an adventure?" you ask, putting your hands on your hips with a wide grin.
"Yup! I do have a question first."
"Ask away, I'm happy to answer."
"Why isn't Grunkle Ford coming with us? He's like the manliest person I know."
"Well, he doesn't exactly have the best time with Manotaurs. They tend to..." you trail off as Ford walks over, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
"Because (Y/N) was the one who won their favour. They don't exactly value brain over bronze."You fake whisper towards Dipper, knowing full well Ford can hear you:
"He got into a singing competition with the multi-bear."
"Wait, I did too!"
"Really? I thought I was the only one!" Ford brightens up taking out his journal, "Tell me, what did you learn when -"
"Ford, you will have all the time in the world to question him on his manotaur experience. But right now, we have a mountain to reach by lunch and you have a brother to bond with," you remind him, gently placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Oh alright, but the moment you get back we are having a -"
"Very long discussion of information. Go. We'll be back before you even notice Stan's not wearing pants."
"Wait - Stan's not wearing pants?"You shrug your shoulder, opening the door and ushering Dipper outside, leaving a very confused Ford standing in the entryway.
The day was simple, you, Mabel and Dipper were going to climb up one of the tallest mountains near Gravity Falls to visit the Manotaurs, while Ford and Stan have a bonding day. Usually, you'd want to bring Ford with you, however, Stan had approached you at three in the morning to ask if he could have the day with his brother and if you were okay to watch Mabel and Dipper.
So, here you were, on your way to the Mystery Shack to pick up Mabel. Dipper did not let up on questions to you, even after you greeted Soos and were waiting in the living room for Mabel to come downstairs.
"I'm going to bedazzle so many beards!" Mabel exclaims, running down the stairs and relieving you from Dipper's endless wave of questions.
"You know, I'd love to see you try," you chuckle as she slings a small bag over her shoulder.
"It's possible! I know it," she states confidently.
"If you can, I'll buy you all the pancakes you can eat."
"Deal."
She's out the door before you can even catch up, forcing you and Dipper to run off after her towards the mountains. It's actually a rather effective way to travel, even if you were having a bit of trouble keeping pace with her after almost a year of living in your home dimension again.
Thankfully, Dipper stays close to you as you trek up the mountains as Mabel runs up ahead. You take your time to examine the area, scanning for anything that might've been influenced by Weirdmagedon.
This studying of the area for Weirdmagedon effects continues until you reach the Manotaur's Man-cave. In a traditional Manotaur greeting, you slug Pubotar in the shoulder. He punches you back with laughter as you introduce Mabel and Dipper. After a bit of smooth-talking, you manage to get the Manotaur to allow Dipper into the Man-cave.
